Warm paraffin is so comforting in the winter when your hands and feet can start to dry out. This can also work well in drier conditions in the summer, but I seem to use it more in the winter. You may also notice your feet needing extra attention in the summer months due to wearing open shoes.

I've tried a few paraffin baths and this one has quite a few more options:

1. Fast Heat-Up Time Option - put this on before you get in the bath and by the time you are ready for bed, the wax is warm enough to dip your hands or feet. Perfect to also get your feet warm on cold nights.

2. Adjustable Heat Settings - Keep Warm is an excellent option if you are not in a hurry. It warms the paraffin to the perfect temperature. When using "Hi or Med" you may want to turn the heat back down to "keep warm" before dipping your hands. The wax can get a little hotter than you may wish on the highest setting. It is designed so it heats fast and then you can let it cool down a bit.

3. Thermal Mitts - These may be included with your order. Some kits come with a brush (mine didn't) and some with other lovely extras. I wish they just made them all the same, but mine did arrive with glove liners.

So, this paraffin bath is perfect year round. While you can find smaller paraffin baths (one sitting on the bathroom counter is nice), the larger size is more versatile if you only want to buy one and also want this for your feet.

When the paraffin wax starts getting low, you can reorder more wax and add it to the bath as needed. They do advise that you throw away the wax you have used, instead of adding it back to the bath.

To use, simply dip your hand, elbow or food into the warm melted wax and then dip again so you get two coats.

You will feel as if you just put on a warm glove. Now, to increase the benefit of the heat, I first put on some great hand cream and then dip my hands. That way the cream is absorbed and your hands feel soft and smooth.

You can slip your hands into the disposable gloves and sit and watch TV for 15 minutes. Then, slip off the wax - which is now hardened on your hand.

A few paraffin hand dips at a salon will cost you more than one paraffin bath, so it is worth the initial cost of purchasing your own and you can also use it before a manicure to help your cuticles. Put some almond or vitamin E oil on your nails and cuticles and then dip your hands, the results are amazing!

This kit comes with 4 lbs of paraffin wax, but you may want to order more at the start so you have it when it is needed. Of all the units I've tried over the years, I like the color of the lavender lid the best. With the various heat options, I feel like this is one of the best paraffin baths I've owned.

Product is very good as size allows for hands and feet. Cord is long enough to set unit on floor to use for feet; unit is shaped for secure pick up when moving melted wax. It could be a bit deeper, perhaps more narrow in shape, to keep skin from contacting bottom of unit. A plastic divider is provided for this, but complicates cleaning of unit.

I'm getting up in years, so the aches and pains are multiplying. Paraffin baths are excellent for creaky hands. Just dip your hands until you have a nice thick glove (I like about 12 layers), put on the plastic mitt and then the terrycloth mitt, then go park somewhere for 15 minutes. I use it 2-3 times per week and it really makes a difference. The fast-heat setting is great, it's ready in about 90 minutes.

The paraffin is a good moisturizer so you get a double benefit. It's large enough for my feet, but I think if I ever want to wax my feet I'm going to get a separate unit.

Plain old paraffin from the grocery store works fine. I like the lavender-scented blocks that come with it.

I knew the benefits of a paraffin hand bath from having had it done at the salon, and I was very happy to find the Revlon paraffin bath for such a reasonable price! It has already paid for itself, when you consider the cost of a paraffin manicure at a salon or day spa!

This is the only thing that works on my dry elbows. I've tried exfoliating and moisturizing with every type of product, only to end up with the same dry elbows by the next day. The paraffin bath, used after exfoliating and applying moisturizer, provides immediate results and lasts for weeks.

This purchase included everything I needed: the paraffin bath, four pounds of wax, soft mitts - with Velcro closures at the wrists to hold in the heat, and plastic glove liners.

I go through paraffin wax a little faster than I had expected; four pounds of wax are included with the kit. I've found that the initial four pounds should last about 6-8 uses. That all depends on whether you're doing hands or feet, how many times you dip your hand or foot for each treatment, and whether or not you recycle the wax. I know it's not recommended, so I don't recycle the wax. Paraffin wax is inexpensive, and can be purchased online or over the counter at a pharmacy or grocery store.

My hands take a lot of wear and tear. I work in a hospital, so it's constant hand washing and alcohol-based hand sanitizers... Then when I'm at home, I do a lot of gardening and yardwork. So I'm very glad to be able to pamper myself with a little spa treatment after all that!

FYI: The "Keep Warm" setting was even a little too warm for me. Just a personal preference; I turn it down between "Low" and "Med". Seems to be better for me that way. I melt the wax on the "HI" setting, which takes about 90 minutes. Then I turn the setting down and wait 15 minutes or so. Still get great results, but it's much more comfortable to use!

Definitely a great buy.

I always read reviews of products before I buy them and of course I go along with good prices and I have to say this product came with more than I expected (wax, gloves). It works good and came at a good price.

This is a terrific product, especailly given the price. If you've priced compared you now know that this is the cheapest paraffin bath out there. I have had multiple paraffin treatments done at salons and the cost of this covers two treatments at my local salon. I have slightly poor circulation so when my hands and feet get cold nothing warms them up better than this bath. The mitts are an extra nice touch. It isn't the deepest bath, but length and width or more than suitable for an average size hand and foot. It comes with paraffin wax, but it is unscented, so if you are all about the smell buy some extra wax with the smell you love.

this works great... the heat up is not that fast...but it holds the heat...i use it for the treatment of a trigger finger....I recycle the wax even though told to discard...it has multi settings that are useful at a moderate price...

this handy little unit is a multitasker. it is really good for smooth skin, with moisturizer in the scented wax, and is great for pain relief for people with arthritis. it heats up fast & has temperature controls so that you don't get burned. it is compact so it doesn't take alot of counter space.

I bought this unit to help moisturize and care for my hands which I have unfortunately abused over the years. I should have worn gloves when gardening, cleaning, etc, but I didn't, and now my hands show it!! First of all, the unit is a good size for either feet or hands. There are little rubber discs on the bottom of it which keeps it from sliding around. You will need to use all the wax that comes with the unit in order to get a good depth. When reordering, you should use all six packages if you are completely changing out the wax. Although the instructions, say not to reuse the wax, I think you probably could. It's not like it gets dirty or anything. I haven't tried reusing it, but I don't see why you couldn't. The fragrance is wonderful. Although there is unscented wax, I think the fragrance is soothing and calming. It isn't overwhelming at all. The one thing I would suggest is to do one hand at a time. This may be common sense to some, but the first time I used it, I dipped both my hands. OMG!! I couldn't get the plastic liner on or the thermal mitt!! You should keep the hand fairly still and not bend it while the wax is working its magic. You can't do this if you're wrestling (unsuccessfully) with the liner and mitt for the other hand. I also found that wrapping a regular towel around my hand either with or without the mitt on really helps hold in the heat. Once you remove the wax (which just slips right off) you can finish rubbing ur lotion or hand cream into your hands. I apply argon oil and pure shea butter to my hands before I dip them in the paraffin wax. My hands look and feel so much better than they did when I first used it. Nothing will entirely erase the years I abused my hands, but this machine really helps. I highly recommend it.

I am very pleased with this product. It is easily large enough for hands and feet(mine are size 8). It heats nicely and melts faster than I anticipated, especially after the wax has been melted the first time. I looked at the more expensive ones but can't imagine what could make them any better than this one. The outside doesn't get hot either!
