This review is from: RF Circuit Design: Theory & Applications (2nd Edition) (Hardcover)
Such a high price tag for a book that is only useful for academics to sit about and praise it endlessly praise it's merits. I was using it for an engineering unit that was filled with a lot of pointless exercises that are to theoretical to be of any practical use. Speaking with many of fellow students, we were all of a similar opinion. The engineering academia wants students to jump through various hoops instead of trying to educate them to be real useful and practical engineers. I can't understand why most engineering courses have got it so wrong in my opinion (apart from some of the maths). By the time you graduate you really have to start learning all the skills needed to become employable, and you certainly won't get them from books like this one. Try Bowick's book on RF design if you want to learn practical circuits to design and build in the RF sphere. Concise and to the point just as most students would prefer.
