Cuts like butta,
By
This review is from: RFT5200 SOLID CARBIDE 2 FLUTE UP-CUT SPIRAL FLUSH TRIM ROUTER BIT 1/2 DIA X 2" CL X 1/2" SHANK (Misc.)
I bought this bit because I needed something quieter than a straight trim bit and ended up getting so much more. Not only was it MUCH quieter, but it cut so much smoother than the (new) straight trim bit I already had. I'm making a modified sleigh bed with 4 identical 8/4 legs, I live in a condo...and was very much afraid of the rules patrol for the noise the router makes, so I spent the money for this bit and am glad I did. I did a comparison cut with the new straight bit and the spiral bit and the difference in noise and cut was amazing. My (very quiet) dust collector made more noise than the spiral bit and like I said, the cut was very smooth. One other thing, the bit feed into the wood SO easily compared to the straight bit and because of the curves in the leg, I had to into the grain and had no tear out. I know I sound like a shill, but really, the bit is worth the money!

I ordered this router bit to work on getting very smooth sides to the guitar blanks I am building. I have heard great things about this bit, but have not had a chance to try mine, yet, but I am sure it will be a great tool.
