5.0 out of 5 stars The performance of a lifetime of Chopin's scherzi, July 23, 2000
A Kid's Review
This review is from: RICHTER ARCHIVES VOL. 3 (Audio CD)
I got this record only a month ago from the states as it is unknown of in Europe! Iwonder why though.Since then it has become one of my 'record-on-a-island' treasure especially due to the four scherzi.

Richter jumps in the first scherzo as a lion:I bet he was not yet seated at the piano when he hit the first chord.Superb entry. The rythm is sustained all through the piece, the middle part is exquisite, and the end leaves you speechless.

The third scherzo is very fluent and melodious like the fourth.

The second scherzo ,I like less(musically speaking )but the interpretation of Richter leads you to the end with no sign of boredom.

The other short pieces are from other concerts and are of good quality.

No doubt this item should belong to every Richter's collector.
