5.0 out of 5 stars NOW I CAN SHOP ONLINE FOR RINGS!
Great quality ring size finder. The 36 rings display on one side on top USA size and bellow the diameter in mm; on the reverse side you find the circumference in mm on top an the equivalent in japanese size. I bought it because I love rings and this is an excelent tool for those like me that shop online. Delicate rings require a smaller sizes than wide banded ones, left...

3.0 out of 5 stars inaccurate ring sizer, October 4, 2010

I ordered this for my jewelry smithing needs. The price and quality seemed good from the picture and description so I gave it a shot. However when I received it and tested the sizes against a accurate ring mandrel, many of the sizes we noticeably off by around a quarter to a half size off. Each number size has three variations, a plan number, a -, and a =. But even with all three, I couldn't find an accurate size for some sizes. Also I believe the size variations on these are nontraditional, typically the "-" represents a half size, so like 7- would be 7 and a half.

I ended up returning this and was very pleased with the ease and quickness of the return.

So, if you don't mind having the sizes being off by a half size or so, it'd be ok getting this. However, I'd definitely wouldn't call these professional. I bought a different one after my return from a jewelry resource store and they were perfectly accurate.

nothing but good, except for the fact that the sizes are written weird. i had to find a site with a list of sizes and their equivalencies in inches and centimeters to figure out which size was which.

Unit is made of steel , rather than plastic.

Has European sizing as well , though , maybe difficult for a customer to differentiate between sizes . Edges of rings are not rounded ... [ that maybe good or bad - going on gives you reality , getting off may be painful ? ] ... May Very well be too accurate for street fair use , w/ half sizes ...

it's OK , for the money ...

This ring sizer is of nice quality and certainly sturdy enough for home use. Some other reviewers have said the size numbers are hard to read. Well, yes, they are small because the space is small, but c'mon, guys, I'm legally blind, and I can read them in good light.

Ring sizer is a cool item to have to figure out your ring size. Helpful for online orders. The only minor downside is that you may need to refer to a ring sizing chart. Otherwise it's durable and should last you for years.

What can I say? This thing sizes fingers appropriately, and seems to have several different scales which might be of use to people. The only thing that I don't understand is that for standard US ring sizes, it has whole and half sizes, and also 3/4 sizes - but no 1/4 sizes. Is that a normal thing? Anyway, it's not really a big deal at such a fine granularity, but I thought it was curious. If you ever need to figure out your ring size, I'd definitely recommend this set over those print-and-wrap paper sizers or cheap plastic sizers. Definitely feels like it'll last a lifetime.

It's very nice to have for getting a ring size. The rings all have 4 size scales on them including US and French. On the US sizes there are 3 of each like 9, 9-, 9=. My guess is sizes in fractional thirds? I'm not a expert on ring size correlations so as far as accuracy goes two rings of a known size that I wear the sizer gauged my fingers correctly. It would be nice all the rings would slide around the loop easier as it's kind of tedious picking through the rings when they resist being shifted on the loop. Also that tab you see on the loop is not a clasp; it's a crimp and the loop cannot open.

All things considered it's nice to have to gauge ring sizes.

Probably more than I needed, but I will always be able to determine ring sizes with more than a paper measure. These are metal and will last forever. Easy to read sizes which are on small tabs at the top of each ring. At least half size increments. Good value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wedding Band Decision, March 29, 2009
This review is from: RING SIZER - Professional JEWELERS QUALITY! (Misc.)
I wanted to be able to know sizes walking into a wedding band purchase, so I bought a reasonable sizer to have one here at home. This sizer was just that, reasonable and perfect for choosing a size ahead of time. It saved a lot of time.

One thing to remember, Winter sizes will be considerably smaller than Summer ones so oversize if you are purchasing during colder months. In February I bought our tungsten carbide wedding bands for an April wedding. This sizer was a great help to decide that I wanted a size 13 band before the day I went to pick one out. Yeah, a bit bigger in Winter, but probably just right for Summer (or a very possible weight gain - I'm 40).

I may never buy another ring again, but I'll hold onto this sizer just in case. Highly recommended. The cost was negligible vs. a bad decision in wedding bands.
