Bestselling author and winner of the Golden Leaf Award, Susan Connell, calls south Florida home. Like Janet Evanovich, Cindy Gerard, Leanne Banks and Tami Hoag, Susan started her writing career at Bantam/Doubleday/Dell (now Random House.) The parents of three grown daughters, she and her husband recently spent a winter in an Italian hill town - an experience she calls "a dream come true." She is drawn to exotic locales (Peru, Ivory Coast, New Zealand, Spain and other equally fascinating places. Once a year she takes off with a small group of girlfriends who also enjoy her penchant for adventures - white water rafting, zip lining, and wilderness hiking, to name a few. If you meet her be sure to ask her about her encounter with a Barbary ape while visiting Gibraltar. You can reach her at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit her website www.susanconnellbooks.com Susan finds creating characters with good hearts and moral challenges is another enjoyable experience. Making her readers laugh is always a pleasure. She says her motto is "Well behaved women seldom make history."
Once a romantic, always a romantic, but for Gwen things haven't turned out happily ever after. She's a four time loser at love! This light hearted romantic comedy makes you believe the old saying, "real love always finds a way." Just when Gwen, the owner of 4 diamond engagement rings, gives up on ever finding Mr. Right, Steve Stratton comes along and changes everything. But not until his patience has been tried to the nth degree! She's worth it, though, and he knows it. This is one of the most charming romances I've ever read - and the loves scenes are FABULOUS. I give it 5 ringy-dingies
Undeniable chemistry between the characters was un-put-downable for me. If you are a soft touch for a Christmas romance then do not miss this book. It has everything you'd ever want in this category plus 5 engagement rings! You just know the hero will get to play Santa to the heroine but when she sits on his lap and plays along it's too, too adorable. And then there's that huge dog...but I don't want to give it all away. 5 stars.
Nothing nicer during the holidays than a warm and cozy romance. This story will make you smile and probably make you laugh out loud, too. She's just trying to pay her bills, he's just trying to show her there's more to life. The author gives you a Christmas gift brimming with all the good feelings of the holiday season-charming.
If you have read many cheesy Christmasy romances, and would appreciate a bit more zest, you must read Rings on Her Fingers! What a delightful treat. In reading the bio, you've been introduced to the feisty, yet endearing Gwen and have been teased with the delicious appeal of handsome Steve Stratton. As usual, when reading a Susan Connell book, one of the first things you love is the humour. Conversations contain quick wit, fun interchanges and leave you giggling. She ramps up the heat with some sizzling bedroom scenes, yet it some ways, its the gentle kindness of the characters that appeals the most.
Gwen is a generous, beautiful enigma to Steve's mischievous yet thoughtful gentleman, and the combination of the two, leaves you believing in happily ever after. At times, the sensual combination of the two leaves you breathless and panting too! These are two wonderful characters, who you will instantly like. Sparks fly almost immediately between the pair, and as the story progresses, you also realise, that if there were ever two people who deserve a break in the world of true love, it is Gwen and Steve.
You will also meet many other fantastic characters including a rather large, very welcoming four footed one, who brings disaster in nearly every encounter.
This is fun story, which makes you feel good all over. Go grab yourself a copy; sit back ready to relax and be absorbed in some Christmas passion.
Are you looking for a light-hearted romantic comedy set in the holiday season? Connell's Rings On Her Fingers is the one to have. There are so many laughs, or for Santa, ho-ho-ho's along the way that when Connell finally turns on the tears you will find yourself smiling through them. Steve knows exactly what he wants for Christmas, a mall temp at the local jewelers who is dressed in an elf costume. And I know what I want, Steve. What a guy! Patient, funny, sexy and his adoration for Gwen knows no limit. Wonderful dialog, hot sex and enough diamonds to light up your Christmas tree. If this book had a smell it would be a blend of Christmas trees, pheromones and a drop or two of amaretto. I recommend this book very highly.
