Not quite what I was hoping for...,

There are some great pictures in this catalog, but overall the quality is a little lacking for a $39.95 purchase. There could be a better variety of models in the book -- there are two guys who appear a little too often (one being the cover model whose face you can see). Some of the photography seems a little amateur and often low-contrast. It's OK, but if I had to do it over again, I probably wouldn't buy it. A little disappointing.

Disappointment,

The photographer should be praised for trying, but this effort falls short. The models are pretty great, but there should be more variety. The photography is uneven, with some good shots along with many that should have been edited out. The reproduction is AWFUL, with many pages being the quality of a Xerox. These guys dedicate the book to Bruce Weber, and they should take a page from how Bruce pays meticulous attention to the edit, design, and reproduction of his books.

After buying some RIPS underwear, I noticed this book, and thought, hey, let's see what this is all about. This books shows a very artistic method of selling their products. You get to see some very abercrombie-esque boys in various settings wearing RIPS...... Some of the pics are done in a very erotic setting (male standing ..... behind a fountain, and such). Some of the images are rather homoerotic with two of the male models holding each other or laying near each other. For a coffee table book, I think it works great. I put it along side such books as Erotic Art, and my Abercrombie catalogs. It is tasteful, no explicit...... images, just very attractive men in interesting scenes with RIPS underwear, and it some cases, no .......

Great cover-lousy book,

I read the reviews, but bought the book anyway, because the cover was so hot! Only buy the book if you love the cover. The blonde cover model is not even hot when you see the rest of the pics. And don't expect more hot models inside, except in their underwear.

Great book and the guys in it are RIPPED!,

One of my fraternity brothers and I model part-time (hey...it pays my tuition). His agent gave him this book to show him what kind of body shots he should get. The photography is amazing and the dudes in it are in awesome shape! There are more butts in it than a bar room ashtray. I used to think Bruce Weber was the best photographer alive, but the guys who shot this book know their craft. The book says "Volume 1," so here's hoping I make it into "Volume 2." It's better than the Abercrombie & Fitch catalog.

Good but could be better!,

The format for this book closely resembles that of an underwear catalog, in this case "Rips" underwear. The book shows some extremely good-looking men in underwear, and without it, no frontal shots. The photography is well done, and some photos are very homoerotic. We hope to see more from this photographer.

i just recently bought some rips boxer briefs and they are extremely comfortable. i decided then to read a book about these underwear..i was just curious...when i got this book the stunning quality of the pics amazed me...the guys are so hott in this book...chiseled abs, muscular chests, tight buns, everything! as i flipped through each page, my boner got stronger and stronger....the downside to the book is the homoerotic scenes with men near and touching each other...i would recommend the book to those 15+...***** definitely w/o a doubt

Cute boys. Keep them coming!,

The boys and men in this photo book are CUTE! I bought my boyfriend three of the underwear pieces in the book and he looks great in them. Men are always wanting us girls to look sexy. It's about time we get to see them in something masculine and sexy at the same time. Now if I can just get him to shave his chest and get a good tan and look like the boys in the RIPS book and I'll be one happy girl! I have been looking for sexy underwear for my boyfriend for almost a year and until I got this book, I couldn't find any I like that he'd wear. There is one blond boy in a lot of the pictures that I'd would LOVE to cuddle up with. The only thing I want to know is WHERE DO THESE MODELS live so I can move there?!!! Whoever photographed this book is very talented.
