5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, Solid Wood
I bought these to lift my family room sofa, which was too low for comfort. It is a large sofa, and supports multiple large people when in use. We haven't heard a crack or squeak from these blocks, very impressive for the weight that is piled on them. Highly recommended.

Don't be fooled by the dimensions of these bedrisers. They do not raise your bed 4 inches as noted in the very UNDETAILED detail of the product. The box claims they raise the bed 3.5 inches. BUT,when the bed posts are inserted into the holes, the bed is only raised 2 3/4 inches. Which makes a big difference if you are making or buying a bedskirt. and, no where in the...

5.0 out of 5 stars very sturdy, July 22, 2008

I have been using this product over a year now. I don't have any problem with stability. Besides they look better than plastic lifters. It just takes two people to place a bed proprly on the four pieces of wood.

I called Amazon prior to ordering and was unable to receive ANY detail such as the info above. Maybe the plastic risers would have been truer to their claims.

We got these risers for my 3 year old's bed so he could have more room to play under his bed. They worked great and don't move an inch when he jumps all over the bed everyday. I'm glad they are so sturdy and they look nice too...I don't think the plastic ones would do as well.

Perfect

I have a very low sitting IKEA bed, and wanted to be able to create more under-the-bed storage, as well as just to have a bed sitting higher up. I ordered three sets of these so that I could double stack the risers for more height (there were also two center support legs I had to take into account). I have dark hardwood floors, and the mahagony finish just blends into the floors. Almost looks like my bed floats! This created at least a 13-inch high opening where I could slide under my large plastic storage containers.

There was a slight odor that other users have mentioned, but an hour after installing the lifts, I couldn't detect it any more (granted I have a weak sense of smell).

The blocks stacked perfectly with a neat criss-cross fit, and I liked the fact that they came with thin rods to secure the blocks together through the center. One thing I would have done if I wasn't so impatient was to add some felt padding at the bottom of the blocks to prevent the bed from sliding around a bit, but for me that's a very minor issue.

It was bit pricey for me to purchase three sets, but I have to say that the time and space they were saving me, not to mention that I was able to get free shipping and received my order within two days, this was well, well, worth it.

5.0 out of 5 stars FINALLY... RISERS THAT ARE STABLE ENOUGH !, January 12, 2011

I bought those horrid black plastic funnel shaped risers a couple of years ago. Almost broke my arms more than once trying to install them only to have them tip over while I was attempting to put on another one..

Not so with these babies.

Do what I did though, save your back, go get your Car Jack and use that to lift the bed corners one at a time and then place these under the bed feet.

I had them all in in under 15 minutes this way.. no wobbling.. no movement...

GREAT PRODUCT!

You won't be disappointed!

These do the job but I'm not sure how stable they would be if your bed frame has wheels and you expect to indulge in any exuberant hanky panky. The well is large but not very deep. I stacked them all at the head of my bed to help with acid reflux. They recommend an 8" angle so these are perfect. I love how they look which is oh so much better then the big clunky black ones, which I've used in the past very successfully. I would use these to raise the height of my bed for underbed storage. Be sure to get the right length bed skirt.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product and customer service!!, October 14, 2010

I have used these lifts for about a year and am really happy with them. Recently I decided to stack them to get more height to my bed. When I got the new set, it only came with 2 stacking rods. I have no idea where I put the 2 rods that came with the 1st set. So I called the company and they are sending me 2 rods, free of charge. Seems like a minor thing, but good customer service is hard to find these days!!

I payed to have these overnighted because I have an elderly guest arriving in 2 days and will need the bed higher. These blocks came...2 are scuffed to the point the "wood" is exposed and hollowed out....the feet are glued in spots as if they had been returned by someone, fixed and then sent to me as new. Two are in acceptable condition. If I did not need these so quickly, I would have returned them right off the bat but it is a matter of desperation for me. I am quite angry and upset that these appear to be used, broken, fixed and sold as new.

I got these for my nine year old son,who had broken the plastic bed lifters by jumping on the bed. The wood bed lifters are great,I do not think he will crack them. They do have a very strong smell. I had to set them outside for two days to let them air out and that helped a lot.
