5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Effective November 21, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
You Rock is full of the types of common sense strategies that help students do their best. The book does a great job of balancing the basics of being a student with savvy and effective tricks that an ordinary by-the-book counselor probably wouldn't tell a student. I used several of these and similar gems during my high school and undergrad years, and I'm glad someone is passing them on to the next generation of students.

4.0 out of 5 stars very helpful! May 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Gave this book to my daughter who had been struggling to balance music and high school. There are some great pointers in here for any kid who needs help with organizational skills -- especially time management.

This book is a great how-to guide for students of all ages. I'm in law school and I can still use many of the tips, such as spreading out studying over a longer period of time in stead of cramming, scheduling appointments for office hours instead of trying to line up at the end of class, and strategic class participation. Good students practice these smart tips - and the ones who don't should learn them. Even if you already think your method works for you, it's still worth reminding yourself how you could be working smarter. The book is organized very well and is a clear, quick read.
