This book was so good I bought all of Glenn Langohr's books. I love how Glenn took in the drug war and showed the spiritual side of it. He also painted a true picture of the criminals and law enforcement in all the gory detail.

This book starts like an autobiography to show how the author went from a runaway, to a drug addict and dealer and then into prison. Then, he toggles the angle and reveals a deeper picture into cartel wars, a good and bad detective, and corruption related to the California Prison Union. A beautiful story of redemption.

A Gripping Eye-Opening Book,
This review is from: Roll Call (Paperback)
This book was gripping. Though the book was long (over 700 pages) I was amazed at finding how quickly I was able to get through the book itself. The book was engaging, exciting and held a plot that kept you on the edge of your seat. Not only was the book exciting due to the characters within the book, it also made you think about the world around you and made you challenge your perceptions about the prison system and about the people within the system itself. What I liked about this book was that the author was able to take personal experience and make it tangible and real for the reader. You will truly leave the reading of this book with a different look at what the prison system is in actuality.

Spellbinding story of the drug war. A page turner! A full robust story of a corrupt cop and an inside look at California's harshest prisons. A masterpiece. Should be a t.v. series and is better than Breaking Bad or Sons of Anarchy.

Great Story!,
This review is from: Roll Call (Paperback)
This book is simply hard to put down! Very exciting story that will make you think twice about our prison system and the effect and transistion that takes place on those who have served time in a state prison - The authour also reaches out to the prison population in the book by offering assistance to inmates by getting established through publishing and exposing prison artwork, Truly giving hope and direction to the "forgotten" population in prison. It is quite clear that this book is based on real life experiences from the authour who has served over 10 years in state prison and has used this book as a tool to get through the warfare of the prison politics and all of the uncertain acts that take place behind the prison walls.

Excellent,
This review is from: ROLL CALL ~ A Prison List (True Prison Story) (Kindle Edition)
Roll Call focuses on main character BJ's struggle with a raw, honest, and sometimes humorous voice that keeps the reader enthralled. The viewpoint occasionally jumps to encompass others who affect his life and deal in the drug world, giving a full view of the obstacles he faces. Ultimately, his faith keeps him going. Hopefully, the author and this story will inspire others.
