5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent relaxation CD
Realistic gentle to moderate rain and rolling thunder. Very relaxing. Excellent to go to sleep by! Natural sounds only. (No music track.) Just what we wanted!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite!
I didn't care much for this recording. It doesn't sound real to me. It sounds like a guy standing next to a running shower stall, shaking a large piece of sheet-metal. I liked the Echoes of Nature "Thunderstorm" much better. I'd still like to find a good recording with more thunder, though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent to fall asleep to..., March 11, 2000

Rolling Thunder is an EXCELLENT cd for people who have trouble sleeping. I am one of those people and I have searched and searched for something to help me sleep. I finally found this CD and have had a wonderful restful night. I put my headphones on, so I can hear only the rain drops and thunder rumbling as I drift into peaceful bliss. A must have for the worst insomniac!

5.0 out of 5 stars Rolling thunder, June 3, 2000

This was a superb recording of a thunder storm, and I've heard several different recordings of rain and thunder. This one is difficult to discern from the real sound, even on a modest sound system, and was the least intrusive. The thunder does not have sudden sharp increases in volume that startle one awake if drowsing or distract one from reading or working on other projects. It creates the illusion of a pleasant rainy afternoon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Before The Storm, March 31, 2001

"Before The Storm" is a misnomer. In reality, this is a fine CD having, as a backdrop, the sound of the rain gently falling on a roof and water spilling onto a cement slab as it falls from the roof valley. The main feature of this CD is rolling thunder of various timbers and at varying distances. There are no loud jolts of thunder to knock you out of your chair, and there are no birds, cars, buses, voices, or anything else. Just rain and thunder. Perfect to relax or fall asleep to. A perfect companion to this CD is "Rain In The Country". If you can fall asleep to these CD's, you must be an insomniac.......
