slow starter,

After a bit of a slow start I figured out that if I nuge the tank an air buble cames up and the water goes into the heating unit and out comes the steam. Once I got going the steam was flowing easily and the wrinkles came out of my suit beautifully! I was impressed with the over all ease of use and how nice my suits looked when I was finished. Only one warning, the hose gets VERY HOT! It does have a cool touch handle but the hose is very hot! Do not use around small children.

We bought this steamer to keep all of our clothes moth-free. It took a while to heat up but worked well once it started steaming.
We used the Rowenta weekly for a year and a half before the switch stopped working reliably. Six months later the steamer completely stopped working. I wish the Rowenta was more reliable & lasted longer. Now we are going to try a Jiffy Steamer.

I was very excited when I was given a rowneta steamer as a gift! I have to where business attire to work everyday and ironing really stinks. This steamer stinks worse. The steam produced by this unit does little to pull wrinkles out of the fabric. My wife and I have both tried it out and it just doesnt live up to the claims of being a good steamer period. Save your money and buy a iron.

We have purchased two of these "Commercial" Rowenta steamers in the past 4 years, although not from Amazon. Both have failed within about two years, leaking from the bottom. The first simply quit steaming and then after following directions and descaling (even though we always used distilled water) it leaked so we purchased the second one. Number two worked for about two years and developed a leak, soaking the bedroom carpet. Had we not moved the steamer we would have not noticed the slow leak, as my spouse uses the steamer only three or four times a week, and it remains in place in the bedroom. Worse than the steamer being a piece of junk, the damaged carpet would have been a huge loss. Luckily we caught it in time. On the positive side, the steamer did steam well. Fast to steam and put out a great amount of steam too. Even as it was destroying the carpet below, it insidously steamed away, like a dragon hissing to hide it's evil deeds. Both steamers had some problems with scale, the first more than the second, although we used nothing but distilled water in them. That mede me suspect of the distilled water, but when you use steam distillation, there is nothing but water left and all minerals and impurities should be removed. So this might be a caveat for those who have steamers where the manufacturer says to "use plain tap water" since if you live in a place with hard water, you're going to buy a new steamer pretty soon. In summary, we'll never buy another Rowenta product. We just ordered a Steam-Fast from Amazon for roughly a quarter of what this product cost. If it lasts two years, that will be fine. But seventy five bucks a year to steam clothes is a lot for casual use. As one reviewer stated "commercial..I don't think so." I second that!

Great product. Is more compact and has better steam flow than the unit we replaced. The supplier was great. They commnicated via email regarding shipment and put in the note in the box thanking us for purchasing from them and how to contact them with any problems. There have been no concerns or problems.
