The 10x utilizes a confetti (cross-cut) shred method, which transforms documents into 0.15-by-1.53-inch strips and prevents important personal information from falling into the wrong hands. The 10x is capable of shredding regular paper as well as credit cards and has a 10-sheet maximum entry capacity.
An auto start/stop feature turns on the shredder when you insert paper. A reverse function is provided in case of a paper jam. The 18-liter wastebasket is removable for easy disposal, while a full-basket indicator lets you know when it's time to empty the basket.
The 10x has a 13-by-9.75-inch footprint and comes with caster wheels so that you can easily move the paper shredder wherever you need it. The shredder also comes backed by a one-year limited warranty on both parts and labor.

THIS SHREDDER IS NOT DEPENDABLE THE PLASTIC SPACERS BREAK AND RENDER THE SHREDDER PRACTICALLY WORTHLESS. WHEN SPACERS BREAK THE CONFETTI CUT PAPER JAMS THE WHOLE MACHINE AND MY MACHINE IS LESS THAN 1 YEAR OLD AND IT WAS A WARRANTY RELACEMENT FOR AN OLDER MODEL THAT DID THE SAME THING.

Don't waste your money, a piece of junk,

I have had this shredder about 2 years. It's just sitting in my basement. I was only able to use it for about 3 months before a piece from the motor broke off in the wastebasket and before that it kept getting jammed. In those three months large pieces of paper would drop in the basket underneath that hadn't been shredded, but pass through the shredder.I had no one to complain to to get a refund (which I would have done if I had purchased it at a retail store). This exprience has turned me off regarding purchasing electronics online. Yesterday, I went to my local Walmart store and purchased another shredder(different brand). This shredder cost me a little under $50 and works perfectly so far. The Royal 10x needs to be taken off the market. Under question number one (how do I rate item, I would have not picked a single star if that was one of the chooses. Buyer beware.
