im a fourteen year old and i had nver played guitar before and i bought this package. the guitar is really nice and same with the amp. the video helps a lot. i learned a lot of things and they seem hard at first but after playing a few months i can do a lot of the riffs in the video. ive been using the guitar and amp for about five months now and theyve been working great since i bought them. all the things that come in the package are very hepful and are great when ur just learning. ive gotten a lot better and now im in a band and have a gig in a few months. the guitar is great for beginners and the strings r easy to get used to and easy on the fingers so calasis slowly forms.im very happy i got this guitar package without it i wud still be just starting

I got this kit about a week ago. It got to me quickly and correctly. The guitar and amp are awesome. They are both solid. The guitar looks every bit as robust as a fender. It holds its tone very well. But like my review title shows, there are problems. At least problems that I precieve. 1st is that the knobs weren't properly installed on the guitar. 2nd, it isn't stated in the inventory, but the kit comes with tuner. Since I didn't know it did, I ordered another one as well. Lastly, the DVD doesn't work on my computer, and barely works on my blueray disc player. It doesn't let me view a menu, so I can't jump right into the DVD where I need to be. I have to fast forward through it until I get to a part I need to be. The Rock Guitar Method has a web site. I signed up there, and don't really like it. The first thing they offer you is a download to a special browser to buy more of their products, that always bothers me, especially since I just spent money to get the DVD to my door. I can't find an easy chord chart like the one introduced at the begining of the DVD on the site either. Still, I think for the price, this was a pretty good deal for a starter kit and I'm glad I bought it.

A very nice guitar/amp package for the money. I would recommend, however, buying a good quality set of strings.

i've had this guitar for about 2 months now and i'm very happy with it! it came faster than expected, everything was there, the tuner is VERY good, much better than any any other ive seen/used. the amp is basic, but it produces nice clean sounds and is not too heavy or big, a plus when traveling with it. the guitar is nice, good tone, the materials of the fretboard and the jumbo sized frets are not conducive to string bending, though if your just beginning this may not be that much of an issue. overall id rate the guitar at 4 stars for a beginner, but i give the package as a whole 5 stars.

I really think I made the right choice for a beginner set-up guitar. It comes with everything but the talent itself. Even my guitar instructor told me that it really sounded good. No regrets on this one!
