Great, but the metal ring rusts,

We bought two of these and they work great. We've had them a few months now and the only issue is that the metal ring on the bottom has rusted on both of them. It seems to only rust on the top of the ring and not at the bottom, so it hasn't left any rust stains on our counters.
*to update* On one of the bottles the pump sticks down and you have to pull it up to do another pump. The other one does not do this even though I use the same soap in both. I have refilled them maybe three times since it started and it's still a problem on the one pump regardless of the soap to water ratio. The other one works great though. Hit or miss I guess.

Steel ring at the bottom has rusted and is leaving marks on the counter top. Pump gets regularly stuck at the bottom and has to raised by pulling. I have tried with 2 different liquid soaps with different concentrations.
I originally write "saves money, time and then environment" Easy to setup and use. I mix water and regular hand soap (from 1 litter container), so foam is of my desired thickness. Uses less soap that regular dispensers, and foam comes of your hand easily. Your done faster and use less water. I bought it to save money, time and the environment and it serves my purpose.

I WENT WITH THIS PUMP OVER THE ONES BY CUISIPRO, SINCE MOST OF CUISIPRO'S PRODUCT REVIEWS SAID THEIR PUMPS STOPPED WORKING. I EMAILED CUISIPRO, ASKING ABOUT THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCTS AND NEVER HEARD BACK FROM THEM. THIS PUMP (ALTHOUGH A BIT SMALL) HAS BEEN WORKING FINE IN BOTH THE KITCHEN AND BATHROOM. THE PUMP SEEMS TO BE HOLDING UP.

Purchased this three months ago. We all loved it (family of 5). Within a month, it started to stick. Cleaned it and even tried gently sanding. No help. Wound up throwing it away. I read some of the reviews and others contacted the manufacturer. Maybe I'll try, but it just seems like a bad design. I would not buy this again.

With two little children we go through liquid hand soap at a rate that's astounding. I'm constantly refilling our dispensers. We purchase the liquid soap in bulk but even then it is still expensive. What makes matters worse is that most dispensers dispense much more soap than you really need to clean and disinfect your hands. It's obviously why they do so. The more you use, the more often you have to hit the store to buy more.
Foaming soap is the answer. Since the ratio is 3 parts water to 1 part soap, your liquid soap lasts that much longer. Plus, unlike regular liquid soap where you have to work it a bit to get a lather, with foaming soap the lather is there from the get-go saving a little bit of time. That being said, I'm surprised at the lack of great foaming soap dispensers on the market. While this product is the best I've found - and we've got a few of them around the house - this product isn't perfect. Occasionally it will stick and will need to be rinsed and cleaned out. That doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's still annoying. Net-net, given the money I'm saving on soap, it's worth the hassle.

I've just received this so this is just my initial impression.
1) The instructions on the box are to use 1 part soap to 3 parts water, since it holds 5oz the math doesn't work out easily. I'm using 1oz soap and 4oz of water which seems to be a good mix. 2) The top doesn't screw on tightly (i.e. there's no 'stop'), but it doesn't appear to be loose. 3) The nozzle doesn't stick out very far, I would prefer it if it extended further - past the bottle. We'll see how bothersome this is during regular use. REVISED 11/29/10 It stopped dispensing a good foam after a few uses so I added more soap. It worked well for a few pumps than not so good. Also, more product runs down the side of the bottle than into your hand due to the short length of the nozzle. I poured the contents into an empty Bath & Bodyworks foaming dispenser I had saved and it works fine so it's definitely this dispenser that's a problem and not my mixture. Don't waste your money on this.

Bought two of these and they worked well for about four months. Then they started sticking. Tried cleaning them, tried a higher water ratio, no luck, they would still stick when pressed down. Contacted RSVP and after a bit of back and forth, they sent me two new ones. Same thing happened with those after a few months. So that's four soap pumps that are sitting in a landfill that I hoped I'd have for years. Pretty disappointed with the purchase.

I really like this foamer. I buy liquid castille soap for a variety of uses and it works well in this foamer for the bathroom. With a traditional dispenser, you end up with too much soap in your hands and it clogs the end. Especially when you have little ones who like to do it themselves.

I'm free from Dial's pumps,

Update: one month later, one of my pumps started sticking. I tried removing the head and pumping it upside down to clear it and it helped for a couple days. Eventually went bad again. After disassembling it and stretching the spring, it is even worse. Called the manufacturer, "RSVP" and they are sending me a free replacement. They have great customer service and are based in the US (Seattle).
--------- This pump works very well - I add 20% soap and then add water. The pump seems well made, and I'm hoping it will last quite awhile. I was tired of Dial's foam pumps that keep sticking after they are refilled with the Dial foaming soap. This is much more convenient. I'd give it 5 stars, but I need to pump twice for my large hands.

My son had been wanting one of these foam soap dispensers for a while so I finally saw this one which had a couple of good reviews and figured I'd give it a try. So far I am very happy with it - it has been a great way to get him to wash his hands more often!
