Who knew there wer special spoons for ice cream? But I promise they make your ice cream taste better. The shape of the spoon allows you to skim your spoon across the top of the ice cream and get just the right amount. Also good for using to put
spread on crackers, etc

I was introduced to these paddle-shaped spoon in Spain in the seventies. Every time I knew someone was going to Europe, I asked them to bring some back. I actually prefer these longer handled spoons to the European finds. The paddle is very flat, which is what makes it so wonderful. There is no resistance from edges when you pull them out of your mouth. Great for yogurt, ice cream, creme brulee, panna cotta,...anything that your "eat with your tongue" (and don't need to chew) I even carry one in my purse. I can no longer enjoy creamy desserts eaten with a bowl shaped spoon. If you want to go a bit farther, find 3-pronged forks, verses 4 prong. Much more effective picking up salad leave, etc. But then, I am a cutlery snob!

No other way to eat ice cream than with these spoons! The shape of these spoons is unique and offers a totally new tactile experience. My family loves these spoons and associates eating ice cream with the spoons. A great product at a great price!

Presuming this product is the same as RSVP Endurance Ice Cream Spoons, Set of 4, and presuming neither is a knock-off of the other which I can't confirm having bought the other, but they DO have the exact same name and photo, so I think this review will be of legitimate value for you...

If you like shoveling massive amounts of ice cream into your gorge from a cereal bowl with your meaty cudgel hands, then these are not the spoons for you. You will be disappointed by the small size that doesn't look right in a cereal bowl and by the thinness of the handle's metal.

If you like dipping at your European-portion dessert from a dainty cut-glass dessert cup, then these may be perfect for you. If your cup is expensive crystal instead of cut-glass, then you may be disappointed by the shallow ridge that runs along the outside of the underside of the handle, the purpose of which is to give a greater edge thickness to the metal for a better feel in the hand and possibly a bit of perpendicular structural support, while at the same time getting away with using less metal in its production. You won't generally find this trait in the better tableware companies, such as Pfaltzgraff or Lenox, and if you do, I suspect it will be better executed for the purpose of weight reduction in their more hefty flatware, not to skimp on metal in already thin/light flatware.

In short, this spoon is small and they probably should have used more metal, but the metal is nonetheless fairly strong, and the overall impression of quality is high, so long as it is used on its own with a small dish, and not set out next to higher quality flatware.

Excelente spoons perfect for deserts or to feed a baby , very well made would probably buy another ser of this ones

I'd have to be honest and say that these spoons don't work very well for ice cream at all.... the flat end looks like it would be great for scooping, but a standard spoon works just as well, and is a lot easier to eat from than a flat end like these have. They weren't expensive, so I'm not worried about it. Seller was quick to ship, no complaints at all..

To be be honest, I was actually looking for a quality spoon for eating store-bought italian ices!
This spoon has great "shaving" ability as well as much better leverage compared to an average, curved spoon. No hand pain either.

Spoons were just what I wanted. One was a set for a family member and the other set was for me. Ordering was easy, delivery fast. Thank you.
