5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, well made stoneware grease keeper
Only natural food is good for the body. Olive oil for salads, grapeseed oil for cooking, butter for cooking, but when you want real flavor, nothing works like a tablespoon of bacon grease. This is a wonderful grease keeper, that strains, also. The diameter is about 6 inces and so is the height.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be bigger...
Nice little grease keeper. The mesh works well when straining the oil after frying. Wish it was a little bigger (maybe 8 cups?) for the larger fryers. But the thing it really needs is a lip so you can pour the oil out w/ out it dripping down the side.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not for the 'Faint-hearted', May 18, 2009

By that, I mean, in this day & age we aren't encouraged to 'keep' grease on hand. But sometimes it's the only thing that will do. This ceramic jar is not only functual (strainer) but lovely to look at. And as I am from the 'old-school', I keep it on my range where I can 'dip' at will. In all things, moderation. I suppose the purist could use the jar for candy or cookies; but what would be the point? As an old southern cook, I 'love' my 'drippings' jar!

5.0 out of 5 stars Form and Function - Ideal storage for your bacon drippings, April 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I eat low carb and this is exactly what I was looking for. It allows me to keep bacon drippings for cooking and its beautiful. I like that it has a mesh strainer so that it catches most bacon fond. Its ceramic so once it cools down with fresh bacon it goes right back in the fridge. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a means to store bacon drippings for later use.

I had been looking for a grease keeper for a long time and had never been able to find one in any of our local stores. I found this one on line and I love it. It works great. I would recommend this product to everyone. Chris S

5.0 out of 5 stars Very attractive grease holder, February 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This grease holder just fits the bill. It is attractive and sturdily made. It does a great job of straining the grease, though that is not my objective since I don't reuse grease. For me it's just an attractive holder until I gather enough to toss it, and this does the job very nicely.

5.0 out of 5 stars It works, December 30, 2009

This review is from: Grease Keeper
It is a ceramic jar and lid with a mesh screen. It is a quality product, but it is hard to get this thing wrong. Worth the money if you need a nice and easy way to keep grease.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poorly fitting lid, November 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I had to return this product because the lid wouldn't fit. It's a shame, because the size, material, and even the fine mesh filter, were all great.
