You only notice how much you loved them once they're gone,

We got those several years ago and at first thought they're kinda useless. But in the meantime I really got used to them and they do their thing just perfectly. Thanks to the solid bottom you can also leave your tea bag in there and you don't have to immediately run to the garbage can. Although most of the time that's how we'd use them: squeeze, discard the bag, quick rinse, and back to the drying rack where they would sit the rest of the time, ready to be grabbed.
But alas, the top disk (with the holes in it) got disconnected from the handle. I don't know how it was originally attached but super-glue doesn't do the trick (I tried) as the pressure from squeezing with all the leverage is too much. I asked the hardware store guy what else to try but he thought it was hopeless (small contact area, big leverage). One might try soldering or so, but I don't have access to that kind of gear. So for the next 'round' I might try another brand than those, although maybe I won't, as I really got used to their simple and nice design and - in the end - they did last almost 4 years.

I actually first saw a tea bag squeezer at celestial seasoning - theirs looks like a cross between a pair of scissors and a tiny spatula. It impressed me and I ordered it, but my order ended up on back long long enough that i gave up, and went looking at Amazon - found these little guys and they work great! Maybe a little challenging for those of us with arthritis as you must squeeze pretty firm to get the tea out, but otherwise they rinse clean, and feel very solid.

Some one gave me a pair of tea bag tongs several years ago that I've used at home and liked very much. But we needed a pair at my office and so I ordered these. Several people have expressed gratitude. We use stringless tea bags and some folks had been grabbing the edge of the tea bag with their fingers! (Ouch.) For those who like to make a pot of tea, these are excellent.
