I have read Ms. Kitt previous books and enjoyed them. I did not like this one. I did not find this story entertaining or should I say Ms. Kitt didn't develop the story or characters to make it interesting. A ten year college reunion, Chloe the former shy Valedictorian who now has her own business as an event planner. Chloe is also the product of the foster care...

This is the first story of the Hollington Homecoming series and it is a great story and will have you anticipating for more. This book is about the ten year reunion for the college graduates and Chloe Jackson who was the class valedictorian and now is president of RSVP a events planning business and the events planner who is putting the reunion together. She kept to herself during college and was determined to make it after being raised in foster homes at a young age. She has never forgot her fellow college classmate Kevin Slayton especially the kiss he gave her after the graduation ceremony. She always had a secret crush on him after he gave her a ride one rainy night back to the dorm on campus after a bad date and how nice he was to her. Kevin Slayton is a now the owner of a multimillion-dollar enterprise which consists of several restaurants and clubs. She sets up a meeting with him to commission the use of one of his establishments to host the reunion party. They come to a agreement and in the process find that they are very attractive to one another. The only problem is she likes to keep her life low key and he is always in the spotlight due to his businesses. Her long lost Mom comes into the picture and Chloe is afraid that her Mom's past may complicate their budding romance. Drama does happen with her Mom but Kevin hangs in there with her to support her and show her he loves her no matter what. Great story and great beginning to the Hollington Homecoming series.

Chloe is also the product of the foster care system and a secret past about her mother. Kevin the former college heartthrob now a well known businessman in Atlanta. Kevin and Chloe characters lacked substance and found their romance bland. This book is not a page turner unless you skip to THE END.

Well, I dont know... Chloe was a little different. Not good or bad just different. Kevin was okay. I am interested to see what happens next in the reunion series. I just need to figure out which book comes next. This is my first time reading Sandra Kitt, I would like to try another book before I give an opinion of this author's writing style.

I thought this book was really good. I was wanting to know what happened to other characters in the story. But after reading another review I learned this is the 1st book of a series. Now I have to figure out the other books in the series.

Chloe Jackson was the girl who no one knew in college because she prefers it like that she was always about getting her education and keeping to herself. She graduated as the class valedictorian and now ten years later, she owns her own event planning business and she has been handpicked to organize their ten-year reunion. However, there was one person she would never forget her classmate Kelvin Slayton.

Kevin Slayton is the owner of a large enterprise which consists of multiple restaurants and clubs and when she finds herself being position to persuade him to let her use the club to host the reunion she finds herself in a relationship that throws her off her balance. Kevin has been feeling like there is something in his life that has been missing and he realizes it when he meets Chloe Jackson. However, when Chloe past causes her to retreat she puts Kevin in the defense to get the women he loves back in his life.

Chloe was the girl no one in college knew but Kevin takes notice of her right away and finds it a mission of his life to get what got away from him in college because he didn't pay attention.

2.0 out of 5 stars A Veteran Writer - a Bland Story, October 26, 2009
This review is from: RSVP With Love (Kimani Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
My goodness how time flies! I have been following Ms. Kitt's writings for over TEN YEARS!!! I jumped at the chance to read something new when I saw this book. Unfortunately, I am greatly disapointed for Chloe has to be the most boring and bland character I have read in a very long time. This story is fodder for the surrounding characters setting up a series that I am sure is going to come - but this first story was just not good. This story has so much potential as the theme of college reunion invokes so much feelings and reactions - this book was sadly not one of them. I am still a fan of Ms. Kitt's however I shall be thinking of 'back in the day.'

5.0 out of 5 stars New Series - Fast Read, October 6, 2009
I enjoyed this book thoroughly. Sometimes the first book in a series gets off to a slow start. That was not the case with this book. Hats off to you, Ms. Kitt.
Looking forward to the next book - Teach Me Tonight by Jacquelin Thomas.
This college reunion is turning into a lot of fun for your readers.
