New Marble Cheese Slicer Cutter w/ Spare Wires 3 lb
Slicer is very pretty and works great. Easy to tighten so that you get a nice even slice. Only issue we had was the first one arrived broken, but they shipped a second immediately and it arrived perfectly. They really need some packaging inside the actual product box. I'm not the first one to have had this issue. I would say it is a manufacturing/shipping issue. But we love the slicer and it was worth the wait to get the replacement.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this cheese slicer. The fact that it came with two extra wires was equally surprising. Have used it and find that the wires are stronger than previous slicers I had purchased.

I've ordered two of these cheese slicers from the same company. Both times, the attached slicing wire was broken. Fortunately, two replacement wires were included. Since both of these slicers were given as gifts, however, it was quite embarrassing to have the recipients open a package that was damaged and had to be fixed from the onset. I'd suggest if you purchase this slicer, you open the box to inspect it before gift-wrapping in case the wire needs replaced. Aside from the wire issue, the product is solid, attractive, and durable.

When I received my slicer, the handle was bent and the slicing wire was broken. When I read the return policy of Chef Tools, they stated in order to return the slicer, I would have to pay shipping both ways. However I sent them an e-mail through Amazon and Chef Tools immediately sent me a replacement slicer at no charge, not even for shipping. This turned a disappointing experience into a positive one and I won't hesitate to buy from them again. Thank Chef Tools for their fast response and thank Amazon for requiring me to contact the seller prior to publishing a negative review.

My friend had a slicer like this and it was just the ticket for slicing cheese without getting the slices too thin or uneven and a very slick way of slicing cheese. Enjoy it, and bought two so we can pass one along at Christmas time.

This cheese slicer is not a quality product. The slicing arm is loose and the wire does not stay in the the grove on the marble slab. I would not recommend it and don't use it.

This is a great cheese slicer. I looked at many that were alot more in cost, and this one is better than the more expensive ones. Great buy

This is my second one of these slicers. The first one lasted for years with a lot of use. Only broke the slicing wire once in all that time so the two extras were nice. My kids somehow broke my first slicer, but they wouldn't admit it. Loved it so much I had to buy another. If you are hesitating at all stop and just buy it!!

Item arrived chipped. Could not just return it for replacement; had to send back for refund and reorder (from different source).

This item is of such poor quality that it can't even be put together. The threads on the handle and sleeve that holds the wire don't match and as a result I can't assemble the cutter. The sad part is, it will cost so much to return it that I'm just going to throw it away and buy one from a retail store if I can find a good one. Learn a lesson and spend your money somewhere where you can see the quality of the item before you buy. Amazon has let us down for the first time. I've always been happy with products in the past but this is junk.
