Well, to begin: it came early, so that's a plus. And now that it's finally together, it looks fine and seems sturdy, which is why I'm giving four stars. I WOULD have given five, but...

First, a part was missing, specificially a hex-screw. Fortunately, I had one extra that just happened to be the right size (thanx to JC Penny, who gave extras of ALL the fasteners for a chair I had ordered earlier). And I couldn't get on the Internet to request one, since the manufacturer doesn't seem to have a website (in the 21st Century!). They do provide a 900 number, but at 5:15 pm on the West Coast, my guess is there'd be no one to answer.

Luckily for the operator; his/her ears won't be ringing tonight, at least not from my dulcet screeching.

Then, there's the matter of the instructions. Not very clear, although in all fairness I guess that's industry-standard these days. At least such as they were, they were targeted for this specific product, not a range of similiar ones that leave you guessing as to which step actually applies, or what parts and how many you should have. And--again fortunately--the whole design was pretty straightforward anyway, so if you're of average intelligence, you can probably put it together with only minimal reference to the instructions.

Also, the "plugs" were so loose, they had to be glued in.

Still, while and the product does seem to be reasonably well-built--which is why I gave 4 instead of 3 *'s--I don't think I'll buy from this company again; too much hassle.

And if the CEO is reading this: GET A WEBSITE, BUDDY!
