5.0 out of 5 stars A good look at human dynamics of making unusual choices in life, August 12, 2009

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: RVers: How Do They Live Like That? (Paperback)
This is an unusual RV lifestyle book. It's not so much how-to, as it is an interesting and useful look at family ties, relationships, and the emotional changes and challenges involved in making a unique lifestyle choice. This really would be useful for RV owners considering full time (to get a reality check on their expectations), for people who love them and don't quite understand the choice, or for people facing the challenges of aging gracefully in any realm. It's even just an interesting book for people who like to hear about different cultures. The authors were professional counselers, put in some serious time interviewing lots of people, and bring that sophisticated insight to their writing and research.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lot to consider, November 9, 2005
This review is from: RVers: How Do They Live Like That? (Paperback)
Full time RVing involves a lot of trade-offs in your life and shouldn't be considered lightly. Lou and Judy provide the framework for making this choise, covering such issues as living in close quarters, health care, dealing with the separation from children and parents (the "sandwich" generation), dealing with fuel costs and the little talked about issue of finally hanging up the keys. Anyone thinking about buying and living in an RV should read this book first.
