5.0 out of 5 stars Part of my classic RV library
The book is nice for those that have a collection of RV and vintage trailer books. It is a paperback, with a lot of text and mostly smaller black and white photos of all sorts of commercially produced campers, trailers, and motorhomes. It seems like they tried to fit in as many as they could in the book and have a good number of vehicles to read about. Now myself, I...

2.0 out of 5 stars lots a random snap shots
Somewhat interesting collection of old disconnected photo of random RVs. Not a lot of research on the various rigs on how they came about or what happened to them. Not much insight on how the industry evolved.

5.0 out of 5 stars Part of my classic RV library, November 16, 2009
This review is from: RVs & Campers: 1900-2000 (An Illustrated History) (Paperback)
Now myself, I prefer see the old canned hams, Tin Can Tourist Club stuff, Airstreams and the like, but I really like big color pictures of them too. If you are looking for a first book on the subject, may I respectfully suggest also taking a look at my favorite on the subject "Ready to Roll: A Celebration of the Classic American Travel Trailer", for it's beautiful pictures of classic canned ham and other silver wonders of the classic trailer age. I would also recommend "Mobile Mansions" and "Portable Houses". Having said that, I have a collection of books on the subject and the book on this page is part of it, just not my favorite. I hope this helps.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read, February 13, 2008
This review is from: RVs & Campers: 1900-2000 (An Illustrated History) (Paperback)
A well laid out, informative book. It contains a wealth of rare images, both internal and external of the RVs. Excellent historical information as well. All in all a good buy.
