i've made my own tomato sauce for years. a large can of crushed tomatoes is an integral part of that sauce. unfortunately, many tomato companies add fillers to their crushed tomatoes. i've wasted hours in the canned tomato section of my local supermarket reading the minute print on labels, looking for the one brand that doesn't have various additives. usually, it's only the exorbitantly priced imported cans from italy which don't have fillers. when i discovered amazon sold the racconto brand, & that it met my specifications, i decided to give it a whirl. it's truly wonderful. i've used these tomatoes as part of a larger sauce or as a small side dish. its deep, rich color is further accentuated by the non-metallic taste -- a real find with canned products. if you cook & value each individual ingredient, consider racconto's crushed tomatoes. you won't be disappointed.

Was surprised to see that the consistency is that of pureed tomatoes or tomato sauce, not what I'm used to getting when buying 'crushed' tomatoes.

Strong sturdy cans, no dents.

Ingredients are tomatoes, salt, + citric acid.

Delicious.
