I love Parmesan Cheese. I used to buy the huge 4.5lb tubs of Kraft Parmesan Cheese and thought it couldn't be beat. I was wrong. This Racconto cheese is not only considerably more tasty but it is also cheaper! Compared to Kraft, the Racconto cheese has a more bold, more real, fresher, more aromatic, and less processed taste. I highly recommend you at least try the Racconto cheese. I for one will never go back to Kraft as long as the Racconto is available.

This was a real disappointment. The product is not 100% Parmesan cheese as it shows. It has fillers and 100% is no longer listed on the label,and you can definitely tell it's not as soon as you taste it. The flavor is poor, color is uneven coarse and dark, and it tastes old with very little Parmesan flavor. I would not buy this again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Avoid!!

I live in a rural area where it can be difficult to get even the store brand grated cheese, and so I was hoping to solve that problem by finding a good brand online. I certainly wasn't expecting gourmet quality, just something adequate.

When I read the reviews of this product, I was very hopeful. I am not a fan of Kraft grated cheeses, and never buy them. So when people said in their reviews of this product that they felt this was better than Kraft grated cheese products, I hoped it might be comparable to the local store brand, which is actually quite good. I was VERY disappointed. This cheese is sharp, but lacks any of the richness and more subtle flavors of even a moderately good parmesan, and is extremely dry. I find I don't cook as much pasta as I used to because this cheese is so disappointing. Everyone who knows me knows that I really enjoy cheese on my pasta, but I will go without before I will waste my money on this again.

Received the shipment today, at the end of August. The expiration date on the 6 containers is the end of November: 3 months away. It seems that the containers sent are too close to the expiration date. The cheese is already dark yellow: a sign of lack of freshness.

My family goes through a lot of Parmesan cheese, so buying Racconto cheese in bulk is a good value. The cheese is high quality real cheese and I will definitely buy it again.

We have two pasta-vore children and both swear by this cheese! We find the flavor to be as good as other leading brands, if not quite as good as fresh. Sometimes the color is uneven (darker or lighter), but that doesn't affect the taste. We highly recommend this brand.

This is fine for standard cooking. It does not have strong parmesan notes, however, so I would rate it average. I use this in a recipe as follows: 1 cup parmesan, 1 cup mayo, 1 can artichokes, 2 pounds chicken breast. Mix ingredients and cover the chicken, roast for 30-40 minutes at 375 degrees. A crowd-pleasing, but rich dish.

After having access to wonderful Parmesan for grating, Kraft became a passable temporary replacement when I moved to Texas before the advent of Central Maket, Whole Foods and the upgraded Deli departments in the SuperMarkets. Racconto gives Kraft a run for the money, fresh, tasty, economical and smaller sizes to open when needed. I'd buy this again!
