A Race Against Time: Racial Heresies for the 21st Century

One reviewer claims its filled with 'hate' and 'antisemitism' odd, since one of the writers, Michael Levin, is jewish. The reviewer obviously didn't not read the book because he makes wild assertions that it contains passages about 'jews controlling the world' - it does nothing of the kind. Please disregard unsubtaniated claims like this - they are meant to scare you away from the real issues.

There is not an ounce of 'hate' in this book, and intelligent people have come to realize that the people screaming "hate" and "racism" have no other recourse to the arguments presented in this book.

The book is a collection of essays from "American Renaissance" magazine (yes it is a 'controversial' magazine/website/author (Jared Taylor) - covering race relations from a scientific, historical, philosophical and current perspective (which is roughly how the book is divided). I admit I found the ideas and even the idea of American Renaissance itself uncomfortable...but reason kept speaking to me....

The two most important things I walked away with from reading this book are the following::

a. much as liberals detest creationists, when it comes to ideology trumping science - the liberal left are far more guilty. Ignoring the overwhelming scientific data about the difference between races (much of it covered in the book).

b. "diversity" and "multiculturalism" are ONE WAY streets - for whites - every ethnic activist group that demand that Whites be color blind and open their borders, demand ethnic solidarity amongst their own.
Thus a Mexican activist group has no problem demanding both open borders for the US and supporting the militarization and protection of mexico's border from Gutamala.

Think about it - if it's prejudiced for whites to ask the country be more white, why is it 'ok' for say, Hispanics to demand that their be more Hispanics?

Whether you are liberal or conservative, this book will challenge a lot of your assumptions, especially scientific ones - and make you realize that other than inertia and dogma, current views about the races (that there are no basic differences) are as scientific as the flat earth theory.

What comes to mind when i read shrill reactions to this book and other evidence is quote, attributed to Galelio:

Remember, anytime people are name calling chances are they don't have a reasonable rebuttal.

I think this book states what most thinking people know via everyday observation, but due to this period of PC "thought control" are unfortunately afraid to discuss with each other except in hushed tones behind closed doors. Nature and evolution are neither good nor bad, nor fair, or unfair, they simply "are," and to try and manufacture egalitarian fantasies re the unquestioned inherent intellectual and moral equality of all, is usually transparent to most with eyes, ears, and a functioning brain. European man did not invent Voodoo, or the culture of female genital mutilation," however his/her science and technology landed man on the moon and invented the internet. This is not fiction, but fact. I think this book is very well thought out, well written, and a dire warning re the bleak future of the civilized world, i.e asian/eurocentiric culture, and scientific advancement if we continue on with our social fantasies and tolerance for outright lies by the academic and political powers that be. In all of nature, there are species/races of creatures that excel and those that stagnate and die, and those that are parasitic - only God/Creator knows why. This book humbly attempts to touch on some of these fundamental questions without hate, but in a neutral and dispassionate manner. I rated it four instead of five stars b/c I was a bit disappointed with the authors lack of regard for the benefits of Buddhist thought over straight sole preference for Christianity. But buy it and read with an "OPEN" mind, and maybe you will realize that you're not alone either!

I first read the Bell Curve (cover to cover), which finally opened my eyes to the reality of race and genetic differences that have serious (ignored) social implications. I then read A Race Against Time, which was just as enlightening. In one text you get a variety of views and perspectives on race and the challenges faced by white america. It is a must read to bring you up to speed on the facts of race. I'm now reading Race, Evolution and Behavior by J. Philippe Rushton. This book is your best investment in reading the facts about race and impacts.

This book dares to say what most of us only whisper behind closed doors.

Our society is dying. The values which made Europe and America the greatest-ever civilisations are being destroyed, and now our land itself is being invaded. Will we ever be able to summon up the fight to do something about it? I am beginning to doubt it, but books like this fill me with hope.

If you are white it is your duty to buy this book.

I honestly believe that every citizen should read this book. Society's racial problems can--as Barack Obama says--best be addressed by an open discussion of all responsibly held positions. In my view, the perspectives provided in this book are very important yet rarely get discussed. And if they do get discussed, the Thought Police dubs them "racist," which shuts down the speaker and terrifies others of speaking related thoughts. It's McCarthyism from the Left. This book is a potent antidote.

Sad to say that. although some of the information contained in this book is useful, there isn't anything new in it. In fact, it reads more like a collection of previously released essays and books in the subject - And that's what it is.
My disappointment stems from the lack of more detailed studies on racial differences. I would like to see more charts and results of experiments and studies of a "standard" sort related to task performance, for example, and not just "IQ" test results, covering also how same groups differ by geographic location, how much better (or worse) a race does when growing in a multi-cultural environment, How culture affects IQ and limits learning within the same racial group (my subject), etc. There are many variables that seem to be ignored in this book, or there's just not enough information to make a more detailed study or use as a reference (at least for my purposes). However, It can be useful and revealing as an entry-level book into the subject or for anyone interested on learning some of the basics of racial differences.
Considering all that and the fact that I am in search for a more scientific and complete study, I am rating it for what it is and not what I was expecting. I give it 4 stars because the author could have easily included other "influential" races in the book other than the usual "Black, White and Yellow". Furthermore, there isn't ANYTHING racist or "anti-semitic" (a word I am disliking ever more because of it's abuse and miss-use) in this book. Reviewers saying so lack a scientific, logical and rational mind or have never read this book. This book can be an eye opening reading experience to people new to the subject.

I cannot say enough about how good this book is. THIS is why printing presses were invented. A real revolution is shaping up in these pages--one like the Copernican revolution, but MUCH more important on a grand scale to our future on this planet.

This book destroys prejudice in the true sense of the word--by relentlessly pursuing facts and truth beyond the emotional conditioning we have grown up with in our modern Jew-influenced and twisted culture. This book talks clearly about the vast differences between the races. On page 208, the book elucidates how Blacks are much more present-oriented than whites, and shows how they are less motivated by knowledge-seeking, even with the same SAT scores. We get the idea clearly by the end of this book that the world looks very different to other races and that they will also therefore create one that is very different from ours as their power and numbers grow.

This is the extinction of the white race we are facing--clearly and unequivocally. The writers had the courage of Bruno the philosopher who was burned at the stake during the dark ages for his views on Heliocentrism. The people who condemned him refused to look through telescopes. They were PREJUDICED to the extreme. HERE is a telecope of vastly greater importance to our future. Justice demands that we all look through this telescope.

RACE is a real issue--probably the most important issue that ever existed in the intellectual world. You cannot think clearly without facts, and this book presents them clearly to show the problems we are up against. Many modern issues are dealt with--from the failures of school integration to the 70-80% inheritance of IQ. Blacks have 20 points lower IQ's than whites. Additionally, they show how the numbers are distorted by our interpretations of them and that inheritance is actually even greater than that astounding (by PC standards) number. Additionally, they factor in the mind-expanding ideas that the environment itself is built by people in the modern world--which means that high IQ people create a stimulating and enriching environment. You need to inherit AND live among those motivated by knowledge.

In other areas, they show how police are not biased at all in their arrest patterns--when we factor in the wildly different rates of criminal activity between the various races. We find that there are many myths and urban legends which we have been conditioned to believe emotionally, but are simply not true. Not true at all in fact. When we believe something, we tend to think there is a kernel of truth somewhere. In this case, astoundingly, there is not. All you have to do is to logically and objectively gather the facts and let them speak for themselves. This book is the destruction of prejudice.

The only weak point is the books reluctance to deal with the Jewish-influence behind the scenes in creating our misperceptions about race and heredity. This is a central issue, because they have a very different world view also, in spite of their intellect. Their intellect makes them especially dangerous to the future of truth. For example, the Jew Franz Boas created a whole new area of study to replace physical anthropology called cultural anthropology--crippling the study of racial and biological influences in culture. There are many such systematic examples of their fundamental differences from white Europeans. There is a reason they were kicked out of every country of Europe at one time or another--they were once banished from England for 400 years.

This may not be so bad. The Jewish issue may simply have been too big to possibly include here. There are many good books out there on the Jewish worldview and patterns of influence in culture--Kevin MacDonald, a professor at Californis State University has written several excellent books on the topic. That is the major failing of this book. This should have at least been mentioned or explained. Jews attempt to get on top of any intellectual movement to control and direct it away from scrutiny on them--in this book, a jew writes about the intellectual superiority of the Jews and how they therefore should naturally control things, along with parroting the growing white view of the differences between blacks and whites (for example). It is never mentioned that the Jews have patterns incompatible with western ideals as well--in fundamental ways which will eventually destroy us and all we hold most dear if we continue on our present path. That is a pretty big omission. They were historically the primary influence and funding behind our current prejudices and deceptions about all-important racial issues for example. Why doesn't this book talk about these fundamental issues? This is certainly the best book I have read on these issues other than that.I recommend it deeply with this one reservation.

This book looks back at the folly of the government, the supreme court and all the do-gooders that have eroded what we once had or ever hoped to have or be in the USA,it is a collection of stories, speeches, letters etc. that have been given over the years.But the real problem is this has all happened in the past and we now are out of time to correct any of this without a new government.A must read for all white people of the world, because the end is coming unless it can be stopped.

This is a collection of essays from the white nationalist organisation American Renaissance. The dominant ethos of the book is one of hostility to African-Americans. Although sometimes rooted in facts, such as differential crime rates, it is essentially a collection of polemics rather than of scientific essays.

Personally I found the relentless hostility wearying, I think the authors would do better for their cause by concentrating on the value of white American culture rather than on the failings of black American culture.
