This review is from: Race, Class, and Political Symbols: Rastafari and Reggae in Jamaican Politics (Paperback)
Waters shows how reggae music, Rastafarianism, and Jamaican politics interpenetrate each other. She provides a definitive analysis of the relationship among the three. An excellent text in Caribbean studies, comparative politics, or comparative sociology.

Choppy, incoherent,
This review is from: Race, Class, and Political Symbols: Rastafari and Reggae in Jamaican Politics (Paperback)
The author try to stitch together numerous events from numerous sources. It is not laid out in a coherent manner. Having lived in the society for a lifetime I recommend that to be informed this is not the book to read. Try reading Edward Seaga's My Life and Leadership volumes 1 & 2.
