A Layperson's View,

Although this is definitely a textbook for scholars, and an excellent one at that, it is also one for the history buff. The author has done a thorough research of his subject, showing symnpathy where needed and giving the reader the impetus to further investigate those terrible years between 1914 to 1918. I hope to see more writings by this author in the not too distant future.
