Fits an Old-Fashioned Bathroom,

We recently had a bathroom renovated, installing a pedestal sink and a matching, vintage-looking toilet. As part of the retro look, our builder put in wainscoting that extends well above the sink. Then he hung a mirror that was nice looking, but the bottom border was well above eye level for our six-year-old daughter (the primary user of the bathroom). It took us a while to get the idea of replacing the mirror installed by our builder with the Dover Racetrack swivel mirror made by USE. It is perfect in several ways: It looks old-fashioned. It has sturdy, swivel brackets that hold it out far enough from the wall for the lower part of the mirror to extend down below where the wainscoting. And we can tilt it up or down as we please. We're very satisfied.
Caveat: It wasn't hard to install, but the instructions were incorrect. Measure the distance between brackets for yourself, rather than relying on the instructions provided. I had to drill twice. Fortunately, the base for the brackets is big enough to cover my mistake (actually, the instructions' fault). |
