4.0 out of 5 stars Really good... just wish there were more recipes in the box
I just made the salsa soup and it was DELICIOUS. I am pleased. I don't own any of her cookbooks, though, so this is a first time for me to try any of her recipes. The cards are easy to carry to the store, and there's lots of duplication of ingredients (for instance, tamari is used in more than one recipe), so if you buy something you have more than one use for it...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Packaging....
This is a really nice idea. The packaging for this product is small, compact, cute, and the cards are a great idea instead of trying to hold a book open. However, and this was disappointing to me because I bought with the intention of finding new recipes. If you already own Express Lane Meals, 365:No repeats, and 2,4,6,8 meals from Rachael Ray, then you already have all...

However, and this was disappointing to me because I bought with the intention of finding new recipes. If you already own Express Lane Meals, 365:No repeats, and 2,4,6,8 meals from Rachael Ray, then you already have all the recipes that are in this collection. There is nothing new here. If you buy it because you want the little box then I go for it. I gave the packaging 3 stars not the product itself. If you already own all those cookbooks, then don't bother.

Definitely worth the price IF you don't own any of her other cookbooks.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but was hoping for more, November 15, 2010

I have many RR cookbooks and when I saw this I had to have it, my husband and I do alot of take out as I am partially disabled so as much as I love to cook I can't always do it, but I thought, wow if I could make some of our favorites at home, what a way to save money.
Unfortunately alot of the recipes our more out there, not items he or I eat, there are many that we will. As a matter of fact just a couple of nights ago I made the everything Lo Mein and it was really great, I added some additional veggies like broccoli, and didn't put in water chestnuts but the taste was really good.
I know we will try other recipes included in this set but out of 50 plus cards there is less than 1/2 that we would eat, so it just a mediocre purchase.

I am still on the fence about this purchase. There are several recipes included, but of the two or three I've tried, none of them have been true keepers. Maybe I need to try some more...afterall 2 or 3 is only a sampling of the number of recipes in this purchase.

3.0 out of 5 stars No New Recipes!, December 6, 2009

This review is from: Rachael Ray Make Your Own Take-Out Deck: More than 50 M.Y.O.T.O. Recipes (Cards)
When I received the Rachael Ray Make Your Own Take-Out Deck of recipes I was disappointed to read, in the fine print at the bottom of the back of the flip-top card case, that these are recipes re-printed from several of RR's previous cookbooks. Of course, they are now organized in an easy-to-use style but I was hoping for new recipes rather than 'recycled' ones. I guess you can't be as 'visable' as Rach is and still have time to create new dishes!
