Wow. I bought this for my wife for Christmas and we love it. Exactly what the description said. Loads of family fun.

Too dangerous to put hot cheese in!,

I was very disappointed with this fondue pot. The pot didn't sit inside the stand as it appears in the picture. The pot wobbles because the stand isn't made the right size or shape. Too dangerous to put hot cheese in!

Does the job but the lousy fit is irritating!,

I gave some of these as gifts sight unseen, to my embarrassment. The individual parts of this fondue set are pretty much ok - the glaze on the pot is good, I like that the pot and base pieces are all iron. The forks are a bit cheap but adequate. What will forever bug the user about this set though is that the pot doesn't sit nicely on the base as the photo suggests. It's as if one person designed the pot and another person designed the base, and there was no adult standing around to suggest that someone actually try these together before putting them in production. It's not dangerous, just dumb. Hello Rachel Ray, didn't either you or your staff look at this or do you not care?

Pot does not fit the base properly and is in danger of tipping over at all times, if you have children to dinner it is actually scary. I bought 2 and we used them once, I am now looking for something safer. They are so cute, did a reasonable job even with the heart stopping slipping and sliding all over the base, I wish they were made better. 2 stars because it did work with a lot of supervision, and the look of the pot is nice, but only 2 because it doesn't fit properly.
Do you think it is only the green pots that don't fit? All other colors have great reviews. |
