The fondue pot and its stand feature cast-iron construction. The cast-iron pot benefits from unmatched durability against warping and breakage, superb heat retention, and even heat distribution. Porcelain enamel coats the fondue pot to eliminate the need for pre-seasoning on the interiors, which other cast-iron cookware requires. This construction also allows the pot to adapt for stovetop or oven use. The fondue pot is cast with two small handles. For the best care, use wooden stirring spoons or nonstick utensils when preparing fondue to avoid scratching the enamel surface. Likewise, avoid abrasive scrubbing pads in cleaning the fondue pot, washing only by hand in warm, soapy water. Dry the cast-iron pot immediately to ward off rust. Made in China, the set does not include fuel. A limited lifetime warranty covers the set. Upon shipping, the set measures 16-1/3 by 10-1/2 by 5-1/3 inches and weighs 13-2/5 pounds. --Jessica Reuling

High-quality product,

I did quite a bit of hunting before purchasing this one, and I'm exceptionally happy with it. The enameled cast iron dish will last virtually forever, and it's just as high-quality as my Le Creuset cookware; definitely don't waste your money on the Le Creuset Fondue pot, costing more than twice as much. Likewise, the cheap stainless steal pots won't do as nice of a job spreading the heat, and the ceramic pots can't take much heat on the stove (I shattered my first one from Treudeau). Another nice perk of this product is that the burner features a wick-like object that allows you to use alcohol right in the dish, rather than paying extra for the gel fuel - a nice cost-saver you don't find in some of other products. All in all, I'll be enjoying all sorts of cheese and chocolate fondues in this for many years to come!

Elegant, good-looking and solid-made product. Looks the best and from what I have seen, IT IS the best in its price range.
PROS: - Solid structure - overheat protection - price CONS: - very poorly made forks - cannot adjust burner's fire when it's burning - too risky - 3oz of denaturated alcohol burns only for 20-25 mins, not 90 as some sources claim If you tend to making food fast and want to enjoy it watching TV, think twice - you'll have to invest more time into making fondue than you plan now. Your show for tonight will probably be "Getting this fondue set working" instead of your regular House MD or something.

First Fondue set A++++,

As this is my first Fondue set and never had owned one before. It was easy to set-up an clean-up was not bad. I tried a cheese recpie that I found on [...]. It turned out great and would make again. I would only advice I could offer is keep the box as most people don't have storage for like this, I plan on using this here and there so I wouldn't leave this on a counter top year round. It is attractive enough to do so if one wished I guess.
