I have owned THREE of these over priced pans (2 were given to me as gifts, as I would never buy another one myself). Let me say first, I take care of my kitchen ware. I do not take a hot pan, and pour cold water in it after cooking, use metal utencils in the pan, or put them in the oven on broil. The non stick surface, in EVERY ONE of these pans, has "come off/stopped working" in less than 8 months. I use these pans MAYBE 3 times a week. I have $10 non-stick pans than have last me over 5 years (under the same use), yet this brand can't even last a year. I will say this, while the longevity stinks, they are awesome pans while they are functional. If you like replacing in less than a year, this may be the product for you.

I'm sure this skillet is deserving of 5 stars but the dimensions given for the pan are misleading. I wanted a deep skillet and based on the dimension "4.8 inches" deep, I ordered the cookware. However, when I opened the box I found the skillet to be less than 2.5 inches in depth. I imagine the 4.8" depth given was based on a weird diagonal measurement rather than from the top of the skillet to the base. Regardless, this is not a deep skillet and should be regarded as a shallow skillet.Rachael Ray Hard Anodized II Nonstick Dishwasher Safe 12-1/2-Inch Skillet, Orange

I purchased this larger 12-1/2 inch skillet to add to my wife's existing set and it's another excellent piece of cookware. Having the additional cooking area is nice for certain applications and the quality of the Rachael Ray line is outstanding. Not only are they solid but they heat quickly and evenly so they are easy to cook with and, equally important, they are super easy to clean. One tip though, even though they are dishwasher safe we found that the dishwasher soap or rinse aid we use resulted in white streaks on the outsides of the pots after only one wash so we don't place any of them in the dishwasher anymore. We used vegetable oil to try to clean/restore the original look and it worked well on some of them but some still show white spots/streaks. We ended up buying some hard anodized pot and pan cleaner and even though we haven't tried it yet we're optimistic it will work.

I waited a year after my first purchase of this pan to be sure I liked it. After more than a year of use, I came back for a second since it is fabulous. The nonstick is just a fresh today as it was a year ago. The heating is even with no warping and wonderfully it is dishwasher safe which is how I wash mine and it looks perfect a year later so I bought the second. Don't hesitate on this one.

Love all my Rachael Ray pans and pots. I bought this one because after several years of frequent use the finish on my largest RR frying pan was a little worn, but not enough so that I would hesitate to buy the pan again. There are just 2 of us, but I like to cook enough to have leftovers, so this pan is the perfect size for us.

This is my second Rachel Ray. It is roomy cooks evenly and is very large my first one lasted 4 years. I suspect this one will last ten since my son used a fork on the last one. The handle never gets hot. I have used on a glass top and a coil burner as well terrific results every time.

After only a few months of normal use, this pan has developed a warped bottom which makes it not site flat while using. Assuming I must have received a faulty product I tried to return to Amazon. Unfortunately I was outside my window for returns on Amazon.... So I checked with the manufacturer and they have a 1 year warranty! Great! (I thought....)

I have dealt with other companies with warranties and they do not have rules like this company. Meyer Corporation requires that you return the item to their warehouse on your own dime so they can inspect the item to be sure you did not void the warranty. I know I did not void it, but I'm not risking spending over $32 to ship it to Fairfield, CA when I could spend $39.99 to get a brand new one on Amazon! Of course, I'm not going to order another one and will be looking into a different company than Meyer or Rachael Ray branded products. Maybe if you live closer to Fairfield, CA and shipping would be cheaper for you then it may be a better choice for you....

We do a lot of cooking. This skillet is one of the more inexpensive ones in our collectioin of utensiles, yet we find ourselves using more than all the others. It's just a good all-around workhorse! It isn't particularly heave but it has terrific heat distribution. The sides are high enough to prevent excessive spattering when frying. It's not the latest iteration of non-stick material, but considering the use it's gotten in our hard-working kitchen, the surface has held up amazingly well. Plus, it goes through the dishwasher and hasn't lost any of its non-stick capabilities. We love this skillet.
