5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing better
I've used sharpening stones, those little wheels with the stone in them, the drag through metal disk sharpeners....I could only get a sharp edge with the latter of these, but it always left a torn, and scratchy blade.

This is so fantastic! It sharpens and hones the blade to the perfect edge. I sharpened everything I own and now I will take my new little tool...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great...then gone fast!
Upon receiving this product, I immediately and easily sharpened all My Henckel knives and old Chicago Cuttlery knives. The process was quick and easy and the edge it produced seemed quite good.

However, after that first session, the device seemed to be not working as well as at first. Repeated trips through the sharpener did nothing and possibly appeared to...

This is so fantastic! It sharpens and hones the blade to the perfect edge. I sharpened everything I own and now I will take my new little tool on the road. I'm going to go to my friend's houses and my mother-in-law's and sharpen all of their knives for them.

Product works as advertised, but I also agree with previous reviewers that the clamshell case could have been designed better. The side latches for the clamshell are the weak link in an otherwise good idea. The sharpener does a good job on a knife edge already beveled to Furi's optimum angle. I would purchase this item again but I prefer Furi's three-sharpener system (which at this writing (2/18/07) suffers from a manufacturing defect of the handle).

5.0 out of 5 stars Donated all my other sharpeners, November 26, 2007

This is the best and easiest knife sharpener I've ever used. I have some really nice Wusthof Grand Prix knives that have been in need of sharpening for a long time. I had tried several different knife sharpeners on them with no success. The Wusthof brand sharpener actually made them duller. I used this Furi sharpener on them and with just a few quick strokes, they were razor sharp.
I highly recommend this product.

Upon receiving this product, I immediately and easily sharpened all My Henckel knives and old Chicago Cuttlery knives. The process was quick and easy and the edge it produced seemed quite good.

However, after that first session, the device seemed to be not working as well as at first. Repeated trips through the sharpener did nothing and possibly appeared to be dulling my knives instead. Close inspection revealed that the diamond dust was gone in critical areas.

What a disappointing performance for something that has received such rave reviews from so many ...and has not lasted beyond that first encounter.

Now I am in search of another sharpener, possibly the AccuSharp as highly rated by Cooks.AccuSharp 001 Knife Sharpener

3.0 out of 5 stars A little disappointing, July 17, 2007

Will sharpen a blade if you maintain proper alignment and downward pressure in the device's fingers. This is easier said than done, particularly with smaller knives.

Sharpener is VERY easy to use, and does the job well. The case, with flimsy side tabs needs improvement, though.

This is the easiest sharpener you will ever use. It works like a charm. I am not sure how long those diamond fingers will last, but it is so economically priced as to make it worth it to buy another. Everybody will be getting these as gifts this year.

4.0 out of 5 stars sooo easy, February 21, 2007
This review is from: Furi Rachael Ray Ozitech Diamond Fingers Pro Knife Sharpener (Kitchen)
The knife sharpner, is so easy to use. You first must open properly and it's ready to go. No matter what, or how you use it it sharpens everything, sharper than new. I love it. Finally, one that is easy and truly works.

Works well to sharpen knives and is a simple process. Plastic case is cheesy/cheap and should be made sturdier. Price should be lower due to the cheap plastic case.

5.0 out of 5 stars wow!, October 19, 2007
This review is from: Furi Rachael Ray Ozitech Diamond Fingers Pro Knife Sharpener (Kitchen)
This is the first time I've ever reviewed anything, but I have to do it. I am a knife freak with all of the accompanying sharpening paraphernalia; but this is the best I've ever used. Highly recommended, even though I can't stand Rachel Ray. My Christmas shopping is done!
