Amazon.com Review

Go ahead and double that one-pot dinner recipe or block-party favorite--this 6-quart deep sauté pan by Rachel Ray is perfect for cooking up big dishes and then serving them with cheer. Crafted with a bright porcelain-enamel exterior and nonstick interior, the sturdy vessel specializes in even heating to thoroughly yet gently cook foods and allow flavors to mingle and intensify. The roomy bottom lets the chef spread food across the heat, and the high sides add lots of volume to accommodate many yummy ingredients. To top things off, the glass lid fits snugly with a stainless-steel rim, while the vibrant finish and silicone-covered handles deliver the pan right to hungry diners. The pan is oven-safe to 400 degrees F and does not require pre-seasoning. It is available in orange, blue, and green, and comes with a lifetime limited warranty. --Kara Karll

Product Description

One of the most used pans in any well-equipped kitchen. Saute's have straight sides to provide a large cooking surface and increased capacity. A lid helps to keep moisture in for moist tender dishes. A helper handle is added to assist in lifting so food can be safely moved from oven to table. Used for cooking casseroles, sautéing meat or vegetables, searing steaks, fish and poultry. The nonstick surface makes cleanup effotless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks great, nice size, but not for ceramic/glass top stoves, January 30, 2008

This review is from: Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel Nonstick 6-Quart Deep Saute Pan, Orange (Kitchen)
I was so excited to open this up when it arrived (Very quickly BTW). But as I started to read the instructions, I discovered that this porcelain cookware is not recommended for ceramic or glass top stove tops. So unfortunately this will be going back. I wish they had put that in the description. But this pot is very BIG, and would have made my life so much easier with feeding my family of 6!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the Pan, January 14, 2009

As a previous viewer stated, the porcelain-enamel pan is not "recommended" for use on a glass top stove. The pamphlet went on to say that it should not be used on a glass top stove at extremely high temperatures because the porcelain surface could fuse to the glass top. In other words, use with caution, I have used this pan on the medium-high setting on my glass cooktop with no problems. I love this pan and cannot imagine cooking without it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great pan for cooking everything!, June 19, 2010

This review is from: Rachael Ray Porcelain Enamel Nonstick 6-Quart Deep Saute Pan, Orange (Kitchen)
We needed a pan that could cook large meals (curries, spaghetti, etc) in one pan. This one is perfect and we now use it for everything. We cook everything from a couple of eggs in the morning to our favorite curries in the evening. Aside from the size and versatility, we also like it because the nonstick surface is actually nonstick. We purchased two other pans prior to this and the nonstick surfaces seemed to disappear after a couple of uses. The only negative comment is something another reviewer mentioned; it's hard to clean the outer side and bottom but it doesn't affect the cooking so I still rated this 5 stars. You won't need any other pan!
