Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Stir and pour homemade marinara sauce over pasta with this two-piece Lazy Spoon and Lazy Ladle set in green from Rachael Ray. Ideal for preparing and serving soups, sauces, stews, and rice and pasta dishes, the stirring spoon and ladle are crafted in high-grade silicone. The silicone construction offers comfortable handles to grip and allows the user to scrape out a dish's very last bite from the corners of a stockpot without the risk of scratching the cookware. Additionally, the set can sustain temperatures up to 500 degrees F. Pre-installed notches halfway down both pieces' handles enable the spoon and ladle to securely perch on a saucepan's rim between uses while cooking. Instead of encountering accidental drips or a need to set the soiled spoon or ladle down on a countertop, the two utensils' heads hover over the dish in question to avoid creating a mess. The spoon and ladle both measure 11 inches long by 2 inches wide, while the ladle benefits from a 1-inch deep scoop. Dishwasher safe. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Made in China.

Product Description

Super clever and convenient, Rachael Ray has made Jonathan's Lazy Spoons colorful and dishwasher safe.

5.0 out of 5 stars great spoon set, March 26, 2009
these spoons are both great. the deeper ladle spoon is great for scooping up soup or just putting some pasta in a bowl. the lazy spoon is great because it allows you too cook and get things moving around, yet it also serves up nicely. they both had handles on the sides to hook onto your pots which is so convenient when you do not have extra space on your counter for more spoons. both clean easily!

**********after using these spoons not a whole lot. maybe about 4 times with the ladle spoon, i noticed that the back of the orange spoon is already starting to peel off. the rubber coating is slowly falling off. and i always hand wash these too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great spoons, and holy crap they are heavy, April 19, 2009

Everyone was laughing at these spoons when I set them out on the edge of the bowls for people to use, but they soon discovered how great they were and were envious. No more looking for spoon holders, or grabbing the little plates to put them down on.

The deep spoon is great for pasta salads, sauces with chunks in it, soups, and other things where all you need is "one hearty spoonfull." The less deep one is great for general stirring, cooking, getting just those special bit's out of the pan, grabbing that lone meatball, or those slices of beef you have your eye on.

On a serious note, if you have arthritis, these might not be the best tools for you or to give as a gift to someone with arthritis. They are VERY heavy, and they could cause fatigue in weak hands/wrists, especially the large spoon (the thing I swear weighs like 3 pounds). And be careful, the slots on the spoons don't fit EVERY bowl or pan, test it out before you put it on and walk away.

I would recommend these to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great spoons, January 6, 2009

I was surprised that they were thick rubber. I guess I expected plastic. Once you get over that these are great! I love the way they sit on the pot's edge. Keeps the mess off the stove.
