5.0 out of 5 stars who would think i'd like a fancy peeler?
I grew up using the (you will cut yourself) swivel peeler. This is oh so much better! It swivels slightly & the tip for removing potato eyes is plastic, so you won't cut yourself if trying to use it to peel jicama. I know most people would use a paring knife for that, but I have poor knife skills. On hard things like jicama, I can hold the tip for leverage. Awesome...

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy It
This is the worst peeler I have ever used. Other RR products a good, this one needs to be avoided. It feels cheap when peeling, making fast peeling impossible. The peeling is skimpy and the peels get caught in the blade. My old 5 yr old XOX peeler works way better. The brush on the other side is way too stiff for to be a multi-purpose use (mushrooms) as I hoped. It's ok...

Nice sharp peeler and very comfortable in the hand. I like that the handle is a little bigger so it's easier for me to use. I'm gettin' up there in age and every little bit helps. Easy to clean. Does the job. And of course it's easy to find because it's a very bright orange.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome....what a surprise, January 12, 2012
This review is from: Rachael Ray Tools 3-in-1 Vegetable Peeler/Brush "Veg-A-Peel", Orange (Kitchen)
I'm very picky when it comes to peelers and what's funny I usually prefer the ones from the dollar store....seems to work the best for me, until now. I have used more expensive peelers and from well known home party companies. I decided to put this one on my
Amazon wish list and love it! Not cheap feeling at all, like one other reviewer mentioned (have you used a dollar store peeler?).
Not all dollar store peelers are the same either...so I was getting desperate for a new one and I have found it. A keeper...

Very comfy handle, nice stiff brush to help wipe off the pesky strands left behind & the blade is so nice and sharp peeling is really easy! Would totally recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice peeler for those who suffer with carpel tunnel or arthritis, January 3, 2011
This review is from: Rachael Ray Tools 3-in-1 Vegetable Peeler/Brush "Veg-A-Peel", Orange (Kitchen)
What I love about this peeler/brush is that the larger handle is wonderfully easy to handle. I've recently been suffering with severe carpel tunnel & arthritis in my right hand and it has been hard to find kitchen tools whose handles manuver easily and that won't cause pain with extended use. This peeler works very well in that regard. It doesn't take much pressure at all to peel potatoes, apples or carrots. This peels potatoes really nicely the blade is very sharp & moves smoothly and you can peel potatoes/apples without losing half of them with the peeling.

The brush is large, has nice stiff bristles and cleans even the dirtiest of veggies very nicely.

The only thing I didn't like on this peeler is the potato eye remover tip. The tip is large and plastic so if you are peeling a smaller potato with smaller eyes you really can't remove the complete eye. I still have to use a small paring knife to get the eyes completely out of potatoes. I wish this had a sharper metal tip so you wouldn't have to have another utensil to finish up your peeling.

Overall, I'd rate this a 4.5. I would recommend this to people who have problems handling the smaller handled peelers. The only drawback is the tip for removing the eyes, but I'd definitely purchase this again.

Worst peeler I ever had,,,required too much pressure to work,,,, I threw it into the garbage and will keep using my old style, slightly rusty metal, peeler that i have had for over fifty years,,,, inherited when my mom died in 1958...

Really nice. A brush to clean potatoes, a peeler should you want to peel potatoes or carrots and a orange peeler all in one with a nice large nonslip handle.
You could even use it as a tooth brush if your mouth is large enough.
