More everyday Rachael Ray,
This review is from: Rachael Ray's Book of 10: More Than 300 Recipes to Cook Every Day (Paperback)
This book is not anything new or glaringly different from Rachael Ray's other cookbooks. So, if you already have 1 or 2 of her cookbooks and are looking for new types of recipes you might want to skip this.
However if you are a fan, this book is a good purchase - it has a different concept; at the beginning a list is given of family faves, best dishes to show off, and super easy. The sections consist of entertaining, stretch a buck, burgers, vegetarian, pasta, seafood, one-pot, chicken, meat and date night. The index is divided by dish names and ingredients. If you don't have any of her cookbooks this would add to your collection. The book is a paperback and does have to be bent/coached into laying open on your kitchen counter, but so far it has held together and seems solid. There is one recipe per page - easy to read and a few picture sections. You will not find fancy French cooking here or complicated recipes, this book is pure Rachael Ray. She has such a huge fan base because of her personality and style and the relative ease of her recipes. If that's what you are looking for, this is for you, or the gift you are looking to give.

A lot of my favorite Rachael recipes are in here, as well as plenty I've never seen -- for the price, a great go-to collection.

This book has a lot of creative interesting recipes. Strongly advise reading through it and selecting recipes for a shopping list as you may not have some of the ingredients in your "every-day" pantry. Instructions are simple and easy to follow.

Great Collection of Recipes,
This review is from: Rachael Ray's Book of 10: More Than 300 Recipes to Cook Every Day (Paperback)
My husband gave me this cookbook as a gift last Christmas. This year, I'm going to order several as gifts for friends and family. I've used this collection often and have never been disappointed...everything I've made has gotten rave reviews and has turned out perfectly! A few notes that may be helpful for others though...
Don't get this confused with Rachel's "30 Minute" books. Especially when I'm trying out some of the less familiar recipes the prep alone takes me 30 minutes! Some of the recipes do include ingredients that aren't likely to be in everyone's pantry, but a little preplanning takes care of that. A few of the other reviewers have commented on the construction of the book...it IS a paperback but solidly constructed and mine is still intact after a year of continuous use. I usually just hold it open with a can of tomatoes or something. For most people it should be fine.

I have, I think, all of Rachel Ray's cookbooks. Some of the recipes in this one I immediately recognized from other books, some not. The first two recipes I tried were delicious, but needed corrections. The Spanikopita Meatballs with Spicy Cucumber Yogurt Sauce states that the meatballs take 10 to 12 minutes to bake. The correct time is 25 minutes or you will have raw chicken on your hands. It is delicious though and only 5 points for you WW fans! My next foray into the unknown was the Ham and Cheese Mini Frittatas. I use Chicago Metallic muffin pans, and I promise you that you will need a dozen eggs for this recipe, not 8. I am wondering now, about any recipe I haven't tried thinking that there may be a few more potholes in this road and thought to warn the rest of you.

I do not have all of Rachaels cookbooks, but based on recommendations from a friend, and promos I've seen on TV, I think this is a good investment for an admitted cookbook-junkie. 'Especially at the great price I could purchase it for from Amazon!

I bought this cookbook for my grandson's wife for Christmas. She was very pleased with it.
Rachel Ray specializes in good healthy meals that can be cooked in a short time for busy working ladies/men. This book fills that need. The only reason it didn't get five stars was that it is a little short on pictures, but that just gives Rachel more space for good written ideas.

The book is a nice addition to my Rachael collection. I love her ideas and find them refreshing. We make her recipies all the time. Even if you are not (gasp!) a fan, this book is a very good resource to find good food that can be made qucikly and heathfully.
