About the Author

Rachel Vogelsang was born in Marietta, Georgia in 1944. She has lived in Mississippi, Maryland, England and Italy, where she was a journalist for the 'Rome Daily American'. She has also owned a house cleaning service, been the marketing director for a major drapery manufacturer, worked as a paralegal for a criminal defense attorney, been an artist's model, an Avon lady, an accountant and a house painter. "The eclectic work history women of my age have been fortunate enough to choose. That 'woman's' work is okay, and so is 'men's'". She is the mother of four grown children and has one grandson. She presently lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her boyfriend, a rock singer twelve years younger than her and who is on her exact same emotional level.

I loved this book. Written by an author who has a great gift for the written word and for telling a story that only she could tell. It is a great read and I recommend it. You will not be disappointed. Someone else has already said what the book is about, so I will not try to rewrite that review.

I loved this book! I found it to be very inspiring. This woman fought to overcome the hand that life had dealt her. She is descriptive in a way that made feel as if I were right there with her throughtout her travels in life. I laughed with her and cried with her.
I hope that this book will encourage many women to keep going and not give up when times seem tough. Rachel shows us that with hope and stamina, you can overcome anything in life. The author seems to have a lot of spunk, a tough exterior and a soft heart. She is truly a survivor. She has overcome the odds.
I hope that she publishes another book soon!

Rachel Tracks is an honest, hard core autobiographical journey of a woman who experienced more trauma before age 30 than most people experience in a lifetime. Her search for happiness and a healthy relationship is played out in her personal Italian playground and her travels throughout Europe. Vogelsang has written an eye-opening, entertaining and heart-wrenching account of her childhood, youth and early adulthood.

This book was very interesting. A client of mine's mother wrote this book. I gave it to a friend to read and she lost it. I totally miss this book.
