5.0 out of 5 stars A Rock-a-Billy Romp
This album is EXCELLENT. Rock-a-Billy and R&B in its purist form. This album could have easily been at home on Sun Records. Stand out songs are The Girl From Hell, a new arrangement and recording of the Stray Cats' classic Rock this Town and Texarkana to Panama City. Lee has put together a great band and a great record. And don't miss his live show, it is fantastic...

3.0 out of 5 stars DECENT OUTPUT FROM EX KITTY
The Stray Cats have continued on and off with some reunion tours, its members have pressed on. The most notable might be Brian Setzer and his, again, bloated big band albums. But while Setzer has been in the spotlight on occasion, Lee Rocker has really never strayed from what the Stray Cats were all about. If you need any more proof, just look at the back of this disc,...

Rock-a-billy is a touch of rock with a touch of country. Lee Rocker has the mix of the two and has mixed it so very well. The singing is great, the music is great and this cd is great. This Stray Cat has his act together.

But while Setzer has been in the spotlight on occasion, Lee Rocker has really never strayed from what the Stray Cats were all about. If you need any more proof, just look at the back of this disc, where he is holding a standup bass over his knee and plucking the hell out of it. The latest release from Rocker is what you would come to expect from someone who only knows rock and rockabilly and how vivacious the genre can be when done right.

2.0 out of 5 stars Music for the masses, January 15, 2007

Stylized modern rockabilly. Bought this based on other reviews and was very disappointed. As heartless and overwrought as most Brian Setzer tunes. Less posture and more twang, please.
