So-so for hanging tools,

This review is from: Racor ITH-1R Interchange Walldock Long-Handled Tool Hanger (Tools & Home Improvement)
This is a decent product -- certainly not spectacular. It's a great concept but the quality of the bracket is average at best. It feels a little flimsy, I don't intend to rearrange my hangers frequently so the interchange functionality is of limited attraction to me.
I purchased a couple different types of organizational hangers and I found that the Rubbermaid Fasttrack stuff is the most solid and useful. The downside is that they are a wee bit expensive -- thus, I've been putting them up with out the fast track (i.e. making sure to hit a stud). The Racor Interchange organizers are a less solid and a bit less expensive. I also bought some very inexpensive ClosetMaid hooks which were very solid but not as useful or specialized (e.g. hang one tool on one hook instead of several on one hook). Bottom line: If it fits your budget, go with the Rubbermaid fasttrack hangers. If not and you've got a lot of wall space, find some less expensive, less specialized hooks. If neither of those situations applies, these are an acceptable alternative.

These products, designed to organize storage & get things up off the floor, are absolutely excellent in quality & ability. On drywall they really should be installed on cleats to prevent pullout with heavier items. This is NOT a product fault but rather insurance against the frailty of drywall. Bicycle storage should not exceed the weight limitations. You can safely invest in these products.

This sytem is a "snap" to install and is guaranteed to bring needed organization to your garage. You will recover the floor space so that you can actually park a car in the garage.

Amazing product, very easy to use and setup. No issues what so ever with the capacity that this item was able to hold. Would highly recommend this to anyone that has quite a rakes or brooms and no place to store them all in a concise location.

Too wobbly!!!,

This review is from: Racor ITH-1R Interchange Walldock Long-Handled Tool Hanger (Tools & Home Improvement)
The main selling point of this item is that it's interchangeable with other Racor hanging systems. Unfortunately, the quality of the attachment to the wall leaves such a large gap between the hanger and the wall that it wobbles badly when touched. It's actually not very safe if you have a couple of things hanging, and then want to hang another item. The jostling could cause the other items to fall. I had to place a wooden wedge between the metal rack and the wall to stiffen the mount. In all, I have my tools hung up and it's 'reasonably' safe, but this would not have worked 'out of the box'.
