This review is from: Racquet Sports with Camera (Video Game)
Racquet Sports is a great concept with very poor execution. I honestly can't tell that the WiiMotionPlus improves gameplay at all. I thought this game would be like Wii Sports Resort, but it has nowhere near the functionality. It's all about timing, not about skill. If you are supposed to use your backhand to make a shot, but you use your forehand instead, you'll still make the shot. I guess this is good for small children...my 3 yr old can play it easily. It gets boring really fast when you realize that you can just sit on the couch and shake the remote every time you need to make a shot.
Also, the camera stinks! I couldn't get it to work right at all, and neither could my kids. It's a total waste! Also, you can only use the camera in 1-player mode!!! That's right, only 1 person. And make sure you don't have anyone else behind you while you're playing! It will interfere with your play - that is if you can get it to work! About the badmitton....it is so difficult to play, especially in multiplayer, because the birdie disappears off the screen in any shot that is hit upwards. Terrible! I am a huge racquetball fan, so I was really looking forward to the squash. Honestly, this version is not much better than the racquetball on Game Party 3. The tennis is not any better than on WiiSports. Beach tennis? Really what's the point? It's like badmitton with a ball instead of a birdie. Ping Pong: pitiful compared to the ping pong on Wii Sports Resort. My kids enjoy it, but don't expect to enjoy it that much if you are over the age of 10. I recommend skipping this one, especially if you already have WiiSports and Sports Resort. If you are trying to decide between Sports Resort and Racquet Sports, choose Sports Resort! We have about 30 Wii games, and we play Sports Resort 75% of the time. If you absolutely love all sports involving a racquet, then pick this one up used without the camera. After playing it, I wouldn't pay more than $15 for it.

Amazon.com reviewers have a bad habit of rebutting reviews they don't agree with or even posting their customer help issues here(I call it speaking out of southern orifices)! :-) It's most helpful to potential purchasers if people focus on reviewing the product with specifics.
I made the mistake of not checking my favorite sites (gamespot, ign) for extra reviews. If I'd read [...] (gave a 4/10), I would have waited to test it out once it got to the used pile at GameCrazy. I really wanted to love this game. First, I should give a little background. I got this for my and my 10yr old's birthday. We're not technologically challenged. I like building my own PCs and using my Macbook Pro. My son likes PC games, too (along with consoles). The guys would be annoyed to know they're being sniped by a little kid with his online games :) In other words, we usually know what we're doing with electronics. We chose this game because we really enjoyed Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. I still play them every chance I get. Neither did we chose this game to get realistic tennis. I can do that with Topspin, Grand Slam, or Virtua. My son plays in 'real life'. What I was hoping for was an expansion of the cute, fun tennis in Wii Sports and different environments to enjoy while playing Ping Pong and trying out the other games. But no amount of great graphics will help if the controls are lame. I could overlook NOT being able to use our Miis. I took off stars only due to the controls. Wii Sports & Sports Resort had incredible controls, very accurate. If I hadn't played such well-designed games, I wouldn't have much to compare it to and just might like it. We calibrated often, set lefty for my son, righty for me. But nothing helped. I would swing left (as shown in the tutorial), and my avatar would swing right. I was hoping the precision would at least be in the ballpark. But it's true that I could get more shots with a well-timed shake of the controller, instead of an actual swinging motion. If you're used to precision and accuracy from playing the Wii Sports series, you may not even be able to tolerate the game. If you're not used to those precise controls, you may really love the game. You have to consider your specific set of experiences in deciding for or against this game. We did not have any problems using the camera that's included for single player, Wii-moteless playing. My son started frustrated with this game, but began adjusting his timing to their version of timing. He likes unlockables and the environments, so our rating kind of met in the middle. The jury's still out on whether or not we'll trade this for credit. Since it's our game, it's going to be up to him. Since games are a great way for moms and sons to bond, I'll play if he asks. But I'll stick to Wii Sports Resort for the most fun!

If you are looking for realism, stop here and look elsewhere. If you are looking for fun with some challenge, then you have found the right place. Very easy to get started. I have not tried the camera, as that does not interest me. The wimote with motion plus really gives you a whole lot of control and acuarcy. I also use the thrustmaster tennis rackets. They are a little strange when playing ping pong, but work just fine anyway. If you are going to play with more than one person, make sure you have lots of room, with everyone swinging away. Again, if you want a fun, but moderately challenging game this is it.
