About the Author

Author Joseph Charles Toland is currently Remote Sensing Specialist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) — Region X, which includes the states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. A native of San Francisco, Toland attended college at Humboldt State University in Northern California. He earned his first bachelor’s degree, in Philosophy, 1998, and received a second degree in Physical Geography, 1999. Toland also participated in the university's post-baccalaureate certification program in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Multi-Spectral Remote Sensing (MSRS) for which he received an advanced degree in 1999.

Radar Imaging is a clear, crisp concise history of radar and its uses and applications. I found the book useful as a reference for a college research project and have recommended it to others as an excellent resource written free of technololgical jargon and clutter. A real gem.
