Higher priced, but a good video card if you need an AGP.,
This review is from: Radeon X1950PRO AGP8X 256MB 2PORT Dvi-i Tv Out Svid/comp (Personal Computers)
The card works great, but the drivers and ATI Catalyst software need improving. Apparently, the only stable software versions are 7.4 and earlier. But they don't tell you that on the product page. I had to call tech support to find out, after problems using the newest versions.

Wicked Sick Card,
By E.M. (Roseville, CA USA) - See all my reviews

This is the best AGP card on the market! I love my card. I can run all my games with graphics turned all the way up! This Card beats its PCIe counterpart according to benchmark reviews. Why waist money on a buying a new motherboard with a PCIe slot when all of the new PCIe video cards dont even begin to touch the available bandwidth of a PCIe slot?

Died after week and a half,
This review is from: Radeon X1950PRO AGP8X 256MB 2PORT Dvi-i Tv Out Svid/comp (Personal Computers)
The card worked great but at the end of one week and a half, after leaving my pc on for three days I went to boot back up and the card died. I have sent the card in for a RMA. I hope to get a better one....The cards performance is awesome though.... When it works IT works.

Great Card, Look for Another Driver,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I got this card to replace my Gforce 6600gt on my aging AGP machine. It will most likely be my last upgrade on this box. First the card is just what you like to see in a quality component. An overkill all copper heat sink coupled to a big board with plenty of venting. This baby requires a lot of power and even has a power input for a PCI plug or two normal plugs. At first the drivers were a mess. The supplied drivers were configured for a PCI card and Radeon was not yet directly supporting this board (they are now). I found third party drivers at omegadrivers.net that work great and have built in overclocking (not found on the regular Catylist drivers anyway). Now that it is working this card screams. I was just chuging on CS:S and now I'm getting 100+ fps on the stress test. It hasn't seen a new game yet that slows it down even on high settings (Bioshock, Team Fortress, Call of Duty 4). This is a great card if you can handel the drivers and need to keep a older box going for another year.

Great video card! Dl 7.4 drivers a must,
This review is from: Radeon X1950PRO AGP8X 256MB 2PORT Dvi-i Tv Out Svid/comp (Personal Computers)
Bought this video about 3 months ago and haven't had any problems with it sense. But the only reason this didn't get a 5 star was because just like the previous post you do have to download the old driver 7.4 catalyst drivers. I did download the recent drivers and had blue screen pop up every so often. But when i installed the older drivers i haven't had a problem. I run windows xp pro 3.4 ghz pentium 2gb ram
