About the Author
Hans Rhyner was born in eastern Switzerland in 1951. In his youth, he traveled throughout Asia extensively before settling in India in the late 1970s. There he studied philosophy, Sanskrit, yoga, and ayurveda with some of the most accomplished masters in those fields (such as Pandit Shiv Sharma, the personal physician to the president of India). In 1988, he returned to Switzerland and opened the first officially recognized ayurvedic hospital outside of India. He has since opened a clinic and resort in Bangalore, India where he treats patients from all over the world. Four times a year he travels to Munich to instruct medical professionals at his SEVA Academy.
