The Tonebone Classic is the most flexible Tonebone distortion pedal. With three drive settings and a variable drive control, you can dial in everything from dirt to drastic and everywhere in between. The Classic's design is based on vintage overdrive sounds that started in the 1960's and 1970's and today remain some of the most sought after tones. The Classic is exceptionally dynamic and transparent and as such, is extremely adept at retaining your playing style and signature. Even at high distortion settings, you can turn your guitar level down and the Classic cleans up naturally and without the noise, hum or buzz that is common with most other pedals.

This product gives a very distinctive sound. If you like it, then it's great. A nice tube overdrive. Despite all the parameters, my guitar(s) all sounded pretty much the same using this unit. More importantly, it wasn't all that much more versatile than my Ibanez tube screamer. For those interested in the tonebone, I would HIGHLY recommend listening to those samples on their website. These will be EXACTLY what you will get, and nothing I did could get a different sound. So if you like those sound samples, and have the $ to spend, then it's a great products. Others beware.

This is the BEST distortion pedal i've ever had in my pedalboard!!!! i still have it!!!!... you can do whatever you want with this pedal... from a warm and almost clean overdrive (like Clapton's on the Cream era... or like a TubeScreammer like sound) to a powerfull dirty and HOT distortion on a Deep Purple way. Don't get fooled by the controls... it's very simple to configure this pedal according to your needs and... it's TUBE powered!!!!! ;)
