Bottom line is that these earplugs work very well, but they are tricky to make, and I think that more material should be provided for the customer to experiment with.

First off, the material that one uses to make the earplugs (two different types of putty) has to be taken out of the container it is packaged in, and then each putty has to be divided evenly in half before it is mixed thoroughly with its opposite to activate the curing process. Kind of confusing. Why doesn't it come pre-separated in the correct proportions? This is a simple thing which would have made this a lot easier to use.

Then there is the amount of putty in the package. If you follow the instructions you will have exactly enough to make two earplugs. This allows no room for error, or to make another earplug if one doesn't come out very well. At this price, more putty should be supplied.

The earplugs I made were quite large in the end, and it would have been nice to try making a smaller set. And though they were kind of tricky to put in, they DID work very well in blocking sound. However, I bought these to be used while sleeping but they were much too big and hard for that-- quite uncomfortable. If I could have made a smaller pair, they might have worked (as is pointed out in other reviews which used half the amount recommended) but in my case, after following the directions there was no putty left.

This is a unique and potentially great product which needs better packaging and presentation.

I do alot of metal fabrication and welding so i always here lots of loud noises.when i first got these ear plugs i thought i was still going to here noise but the truth is you cant here a single noise.i remember one time my foreman told everyone to take a break will i didint here him.well he was pratically screaming at me and didint know why i couldnt here him well
he figured out i had the earplugs on so he pulled them off and he said can you here me know.But ther great when your grinding you cant he the grinder or other noises at all.

I love having a set of earplugs by the side of my bed for whenever the neighbors are noisy early in the morning. They're easy to insert, and block out sound as well as the kind of earplugs you twist. They also never get lost because there on the cord. All in all, one of the best set of earplugs I've owned.

I followed the directions exactly as they were stated but the plugs just would not set up. I even laid down for about 30 minuted and the goo was starting to run out of my ears. I had a little left over so I tried mixing unequal portions thinking one was the hardening agent. I did 40% white and 60% colored as well as 40% colored with 60% white. All 3 mixes never set up even after letting them sit overnight and trying gently warming them for about 30 minuts at 150º in the oven.

It seems like their quality control is just crap, don't risk it. On a good note Amazon refunded my money and didn't even require that I send them back. Bravo Amazon!

These things work great. Just what I was looking for, just what I wanted. I use them for cutting down the noise when motorcycle riding. They work much better than standard ear plugs because the molded plug blocks air from entering the whole ear area and just go right on by. I bought two pair and used a 3/4 of each package in each ear, filling the entire ear to make a smooth plug.
Very happy with the results.

Don't buy this product based on the photo shown. The plugs shown are NOT the plugs you will get. You will get DYI custom formed plugs with NO cord.

Seller is ok but to save the frustration look elsewhere for your ear plugs.

Really isn't giving much protection since I couldn't get it to seal well. One side was a little better than the other, but you only get one shot at doing it right. I wouldn't waste my money trying again..

Dont let the picture fool you that is not what they are shipping you. I got just the triple flange ear buds on the cord. Now they do the job quite well but it was not what I expected to get.

These things suck, the fit just isn't true enough to protect your hearing. The majority of the mold ends up being in your outer ear - Not fitting to your canal as it should! Cut your (hearing) loss by going to a professional ENT and paying the $150 it takes to have professional quality custom hearing protection.

Followed instruction, had a nice fit at first. When at the range they became loose.
Had to switch to my earmuffs when shooting large caliber rifles.
