I am fully satisfied with my purchase of the radio earmuffs by Radians. I was particularly attracted to the MP3 Jack feature, because I work in a noisy environment, I like to listen to music and podcasts, and do not like earbuds because I am always fouling the cord. The product quality seems very good in the 3 weeks I have used it, simple controls, rugged construction. I might add that the Amazon price was nearly HALF of the closest competition, and product arrived promptly, and in good condition. Thank You. Daniel McCutchen

This is the 3rd pair of Radians AMFM31 (or older model) that I have purchased. I manage a landscape and plow company and have to have hearing protection while working and these are the best.During the summer I work between 10 and 15 hours per day at least 5 days per week, and most of the time I am running equipment and wearing these earmuffs. During the winter I use the earmuffs when I have to get out of my plow truck to shovel. I love not missing a second of my talk radio, and they do a pretty darn good job of keeping my ears warm! I will agree with some other posters that they can feel a little tight at first, but trust me you will get used to wearing them (not to mention the slight discomfort is completely offset by the benefits of hearing protection). They stand up to quite a bit of abuse from me, from falling off my head (when wearing them above my ears to talk on the phone) to me just tossing them into the truck between properties, and they work day after day. The reception is great, I get all of the stations on my headset that I do in my car and tuning in is very easy (one tip if you are having trouble finding your station is to put one ear of the headphones on while sitting in your car and slowly go through the dial until you find it on your headset, after a little practice you will know where each station you listen to is on your headset without any problem). The battery life is incredible. This last summer I only went through 8 AA STORE BRAND batteries (I figure around 260 hours per battery change) and I changed them frequently... you can tell the batteries are dying when you loose sound on one side (to the poster who was complaining about the right side not working, try changing to fresh batteries). Many times I accidentally left my headset on over the weekend and still got a couple more weeks out of them. The only reason I have had to purchase new earmuffs was due to my own fault, not because of the product. The first set I accidentally left in the back of my dump truck and when I picked up a load of rock they were crushed. The second set I hung on the controls of one of my machines which was left out in a rain storm, evidently rain and electronics don't blend well together. The best part about the latest ones I purchased is the fact that they are black. Everyone in my company uses the Radians and we all had blue ones. We marked our own headsets, but sometimes they would get mixed up and I don't like wearing someone else's earmuffs. Now that I have the only black pair, there will never be any confusion as to whose is whose. One last tip for anyone who is buying earmuffs like these for the first time is this. When you are done using them for the day, or in between jobs, be sure to put the two ear cup pads together and squish them in. There are two tiny little holes at the bottom of the pads which will let any moisture and sweat drain out. If you don't do this, they will have a tendency to smell a little funky after awhile.
