I bought this with thought it would be at the level of Radians muffs I own. No, not even close. The sound amplification I find really muffled ... loud electronic noise blended in ... worse than without this device. Then when I used it at my outdoor range, I had trouble understanding the range officer and when anyone fired a shot (2 bays down) my ear hurt ... I mean hurt. I took this too the Sierra Nevada Mountains to try when hunting. I agree with other poster, the wind noise I found overwhelming.
