5.0 out of 5 stars Life Changing Book for Every Believer in Jesus Christ, August 23, 2006
By David K. Eames (Albany, New York) - See all my reviews
This is the only existent biography of the life of Martha Wing Robinson, a simple unassuming woman who lived in the mid-West 1874-1936. Saved in 1898, healed from serious illnesses under the ministry of John Alexander Dowie, filled with the Spirit in 1906, and led into an experience with Christ in 1907 whereby the Risen Savior lived and taught through her, Mrs. Robinson's life is a testimony to all Christians of the exceedingly great riches in Christ available to all who believe and obey the word of God.

Gordon Gardiner spent over 20 years researching and writing this important work. He gathered Mrs. Robinson's personal correspondence, assembled notes from her talks, interviewed many of the people who knew her, and used his own recollections of her to complete this book.

As much as possible, Gordon Gardiner allows Mrs. Robinson to "speak for herself", quoting directly from her talks, letters, and journals.

The book also details the early years of the Zion Faith homes in Zion, Illinois and the lives of some of the early Pentecostal leaders there whose ministries were transformed by the teaching of Mrs. Robinson.

With many valuable photographs. Approximately 350 pages.

This book should be required reading for every believer in Christ. If read carefully and prayerfully, it draws the reader into the presence of the One whom Mrs. Robinson loved so very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic, October 15, 2008
I bought "Radiant Glory: The Life of Martha Wing Robinson" for my husband, at his request. He had an old, tattered copy sitting on the bookshelf for years and recently picked it up to read for the first time. He is enjoying the book very much and asked me to see if I could get a fresh copy to loan to friends.

As my husband is going through the book, he sometimes stops to read aloud portions to me, and at other times has mentions something from the book in conversation. The book emphasizes faith as the heart of our Christian walk and relates Martha Wing Robinson's struggles and victories. Next to the Bible, my husband says it the most inspiring book he has ever read.

In fact, as the wife of the person reading this book, I can see how Ms. Wing Robinson's life is still influencing others to this day. I may read the book myself!
